The Sr Manager  of Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI) will drive value throughout KDP by enabling all levels to drive breakthrough change and Lean daily management through the core belief that change should be (1) Rapid, (2) Breakthrough, and (3) From the People.  In their chosen strategic track, Sr Manager  will drive strategic analysis, execution, and organizational development to achieve both financial and non-financial goals in addition to creating a Lean mindset throughout his/her area of influence.

This position manages a team of 1-2 RCI Managers (Black Belts) and reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver Value – Work daily with Sr. Management (ELT/ELT+1) and RCI managers (RCIMs) to deliver value to the business.  Value is typically measured in improved Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, or Growth.
  2. Develop Relationships – Much of the Sr Manager of RCI’s success will come from the ability to influence people for change.  Developing the right relationships and using a collaborative approach will ensure program success.
  3. Develop People – Work with Corporate Management, Field Management, and RCIMs to improve ability to eliminate waste and drive improvement.
  4. Drive Culture Change – Drive fact-based decision making and waste elimination throughout the department and entire organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Master Black Belt, Lean Sensei or equivalent certification
  • 5 years of progressive management experience in an operational environment
  • 3 years of experience leading Kaizens or other improvement projects in a fast-paced environment
