Senior Accountant, Capital Management Control

This integral role focuses on providing expertise on enterprise-wide capital project reviews, asset management processes, and supporting capital approval by collaborating with various business groups within finance and operations teams, ensuring compliance with the KDP’s Fixed Asset Capitalization Policy. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal partners for timely review of capital projects.
- Offer accounting guidance on fixed assets policy and capital vs. expense determinations under manager supervision.
- Review capital projects and ensure compliance with Company policy and governance.
- Assist Fixed Assets team, Field personnel, and new users with understanding policies and procedures.
- Maintain the fixed asset capitalization policy by collecting feedback and ensuring all relevant items are reviewed and considered in the next policy refresh.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of idle assets, impairments, and asset obsolescence.
- Coordinate meetings for asset disposition approvals with Manufacturing Engineering team.
- Lead 5-6 physical asset audits per year at manufacturing facilities, coordinating across multiple teams to ensure objectives are met, which includes traveling and physically verifying the existence of a selected group of assets at the manufacturing plants and warehouse.
- Oversee fixed asset tagging process for accurate subledger reporting.
- Prepare reports on disposals and impairments under manager supervision.
- Coordinate periodic review of Apple Boxes, Fleet, and specific other assets.
- Maintain controls within areas of responsibility and support audit requests.
- Participate in key projects and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience overall with extensive knowledge in fixed asset accounting and capital management area; bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Proficiency with SAP or another global ERP system, Excel and reporting tools
- Experience with process improvements
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Self-driven, self-starter, goal oriented, and someone who can work independently
- Strong GAAP knowledge and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to follow and hold business partners accountable to Keurig Dr Pepper policies, procedures, values and operating principles
