Job Description



Position Summary


In this role you will be responsible for items related to consolidating the total company, such as HFM mapping, intercompany eliminations, etc.  You will also be assisting in the month end close process for the corporate accounting business segment including preparation and posting journal entries, preparing account reconciliations and reporting.
 
Accountabilities

  • Coordinate reconciliation of intercompany accounts within the Consolidation tool
  • Coordinate the monthly consolidation process
  • Maintain mapping from GL accounts from various SAP systems to HFM Consolidation Tool
  • Develop and maintain management reports leveraged through Hyperion Smartview 
  • Perform account analysis to determine variance explanations
  • Provide any ad-hoc reports and/or special projects as deemed appropriate by management
  • Reconcile and substantiate account balances on the corporate ledgers
  • Record IFRS adjustments in the Consolidation tool and assist with IFRS reporting
  • Maintain monthly checklist and coordinate accumulation/organization of control documents
  • Maximize efficiencies and resources by continually evaluating and improving processes and procedures
  • Assist with internal reporting packages for executive management review and decision making
  • Account for and analyze the Health and Welfare spending for the company, including working with the benefits team and external actuaries
  • Account for the company’s debt portfolio
  • Account for the company’s stock based compensation plans
  • Perform backup admin duties for certain financials systems if necessary
  • Maximize efficiencies and resources by continually evaluating and improving processes and procedures
  • Act as a support liaison with Internal / External auditors
  • Ad hoc requests and projects as necessary
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business unit accounting, tax and finance staff.
     


Requirements

Prerequisites
Experience Required:

  • 4+ years strong financial accounting/analysis background
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • HFM or other consolidation tool experience highly desired
  • Corporate accounting experience a plus
  • Great attention to detail and deadline driven
  • Public company / GAAP experience preferred
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred

  • SAP and TM1 experience a plus
  • Experience with foreign exchange a plus
