Routing Supervisor 

The Routing Supervisor is responsible for managing a dispatch team, as well as covering for the dispatcher time off for the region to support daily sales, delivery, and warehouse operations. The Routing Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the Territory Planner data for the region, while also ensuring all data within Roadnet Transportation Suite is accurate and to a satisfactory level, through regular data audits. In addition, they are to complete sales and delivery schedules for delivery holidays after the location has completed a transformation reroute.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a complete schedule of all approved vacation, floating holiday, and any other paid time off for the Dispatchers to ensure complete coverage of all routing.
  • Provide routing coverage for the routing team as needed, including covering for vacation time, sick days, and heavy volume weeks.
  • Assist as needed with keeping master data up to date.
  • Maintain a TP session that contains all current sales routes territories.
  • Ensure new accounts, are added to the proper sales routes.
  • Develop the Sales and Delivery plans for company holidays.
  • Provide metric information to the region utilizing available tools, including, Excel, Business Warehouse Reporting, Roadnet, and Sharepoint.
  • Participate in ongoing leadership and management training.
  • Conduct periodic training sessions for all Dispatchers in the department covering but not limited to safety, sales, merchandising, delivery, warehouse, systems, and communication skills.
  • Manage a team of Dispatchers.
  • Conduct on the job orientation and training for new Dispatchers.
  • Provide individual and group training sessions to further develop Dispatchers.
  • Foster professional business relationships with all levels of management.
  • Maintain company safety standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) with 3 years of routing/logistics experience OR Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and 1 year of routing/logistics experience
  • 1 year working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) federal regulations
  • 1 year of experience with SAP or a similar system
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • 2 years of experience with Roadnet Transportation Suite or similar routing software
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
