Job Description



The Manager, Shopper Insights – COE  is a member of the Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) Shopper Insights team and serves as the shopper insights subject matter expert for assigned categories. The Manager of Shopper Insights will provide actionable insights to help create shopper centric strategies, executions and experiences that impact shopper behavior.  The Manager of Shopper Insights is responsible for developing and maintaining foundational shopper knowledge for each assigned category and conducting and leveraging research (e.g. primary/custom, secondary, market measurement) to advance the KDP Shopper Insights Learning Agenda in support of commercial strategies. 

The ideal candidate should have some experience with consumer and shopper methods, research design/execution, and use and application of syndicated data and analytics.  The Manager of Shopper Insights is skilled at integrating and synthesizing multiple sources of data and insights, and highly skilled at collaborating with cross functional partners. In addition to assigned category shopper insights responsibility, this individual is expected to help advance the KDP Shopper Insights vision and contribute to the development and socialization of shopper insights.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive utilization of shopper insights and tools, codify learning and best practices to inform and enable commercial strategies of assigned categories
  • Actively engage and consult with  key stakeholder departments on application of existing shopper insight knowledge to address business opportunities and needs
  • Lead and execute research and analysis with support of Senior Director of Shopper Insights in a manner that effectively addresses key business questions and drives action in an omni channel retail environment.
  • Actively contribute to the development of KDP Shopper Insights team and capability by helping to develop and share best practices, identify opportunities for standardization, stay abreast of industry and retail trends, new research methods and application, etc.
  • Represent the voice of the shopper and contribute to the socialization, influence and thought leadership of the KDP shopper insights team
  • Effectively present research and recommendations in a manner that demonstrates Shopper Insights subject matter expertise, category understanding, KDP business and operational complexities

Day-to-day job responsibilities will include: cross-functional partnership and project management, primary and secondary research, analysis of syndicated data in support of strategic business objectives, communication of shopper insight knowledge to relevant partners



Requirements

  • BA/BS in a related field (Business, Marketing, Economics, Psychology, Sociology). MBA in Marketing or Marketing Research a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of shopper/consumer marketing research or marketing (client/manufacturer side preferred, but not required).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in consumer package goods (CPG).
  • Proficient in Windows-based software applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience/proficiency with syndicated databases (Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, etc.). Experience with data analytics and visualization software (Tableau, SPSS, SAS, etc.) is a plus.
  • Beverage industry and FMCG Retail Industry experience desired.
  • Skilled at storytelling and building effective and compelling presentations
  • Ability to design, manage, analyze, and communicate primary market research related to a specific business question.
  • Experience designing and or management, and application with the following types of research: quantitative and qualitative research, virtual shopping research, optimization/conjoint analysis, path-to-purchase, mobile surveys, ethnographies, positioning, segmentation, packaging, consumer tracking, and shelf testing.
  • High attention to detail with strong ability to multi-task.
