Job Description

As the Inventory and Material Coach you are responsible for material inventories, as well as flow in and out of the process and warehouse, creating/reporting metrics to track effectiveness.  The successful candidate will provide technical inventory systems expertise and implement processes to accurately manage inventory and efficient movement. 

This position also provides leadership and process oversight for the MH/DC functions, ensures coordination of training for safe operation of PIT equipment, KDP EHS programs/OSHA compliance in warehouse, and that these functions are continually improved.  The IM coach works closely with buying/planning functions to ensure materials are available for manufacture and partner with quality to ensure skillset and systems knowledge for traceability of all material and goods.  

Finally, they ensure support of programs and equipment to ensure compliance for SQF/SFFC 22000 and customer audit requirements, so the warehouse is “audit ready” at all times.  


What you will do:

  • Drives improvements to positively impact the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) particularly the metrics associated with cost, productivity and delivery in warehouse
  • Responsible for managing the inventory, shipping, receiving and warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate weekly cycle count and processes to avoid physical inventories ensuring SOX compliance and best practices
  • Maintains effective inventory control to ensure compliance with internal Cycle Count and Physical Inventory compliance, trending results to improve continually improve processes
  • Ensures proper material flow through the warehouse with focus on First In-First Out (FIFO) or First Expired-First Out (FEFO) quality policy standard
  • Ensure appropriate work instructions exist and coordinate training with cycle count administrators & personnel
  • Utilize data and metrics from areas managed to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Monitors and provides visibility to obsolescence issues around plant inventory
  • Maintain proper training requirements for all personnel with emphasis on Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) program compliance
  • Maintain standard operating procedures for all areas of the warehouse
  • Provide performance coaching, training, and direction to direct reports
  • Assist Quality Dept. in maintaining accurate records of product on Blocked Stock or Quality Inspection lot statuses and RM/FG trace exercises
  • Lead departmental 5-S journey

What you must have:

  • Two/Four-year degree preferred (or equivalent years of experience in warehousing or manufacturing) and 3-5 years of warehousing and inventory experience
  • Familiarity with both SAP and MES systems
  • Ability to positively and comfortably handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with self-motivation and focused attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Effective use Microsoft office tools
  • Organizational and customer service skills essential 
  • Adherence to Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures
