Job Description



Keurig brewers are powered with an 8/16/32 bit microcontroller. Most of the peripheral circuits such as A/D, PWM are included in the MCU. As an Electrical Engineer I, you will be involved in all phases of the brewer electronic design. This includes basic analog and digital circuit, sensing and controlling, and microcontroller firmware design. The typical design will start with feasibility studies and simple circuit simulation. Then it follows with schematic capture, PCB layout, components selection, PCB assembly and finally firmware development.

What you will do:

  • Maintain and upgrade Keurig beverage brewing systems
  • Diagnosis and find the root causes of brewer issues as well as implementing the fix
  • Source and procure the low cost and reliable EE components for high volume  brewer production
  • Follow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures


Requirements

What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • 1-3 years embedded microcontroller hardware design experience
  • High volume consumer electronics / appliances experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Cad design tools such as schematics capture, PCB layout and Spice simulation
  • Familiar with C or Assembly Language in micro controller firmware development
  • Experienced with PIC microcontroller & other sensor circuit are desirable
  • Ability to perform board level analog, mixed analog/digital and microcontroller circuit design, analysis, build and verification
  • Familiar with electro-mechanical parts such air pump, valve, motor, etc.
  • Must be hands on and results oriented individual contributor committed to team success and willing to do the simple or complicated tasks to move the project forward
  • Able to work effectively with all personnel and levels including management, engineers, other technicians and temporary employees
