Automation Control Engineer I

As an Automation Control Systems Engineer you are responsible for all aspects of the various types of automated systems at Keurig Dr Pepper, including but not limited to: development, review, specification, and support of PLC and HMI control systems.


  • Support, test and deploy control system modifications and system upgrades
  • Develop an understanding of our manufacturing and distribution processes in order to assist and improve efficiencies through automation enhancements
  • Assist in development of control system design and layouts with Keurig Dr Pepper vendors and Corporate engineering
  • Support and maintain control system networks
  • Support and manage change control and document system modifications as per Keurig Dr Pepper policy
  • Ensure business continuity thru industry standards and good engineering hardware and software practices
  • Assist in the development and support of data collection processes and systems
  • Assist in the development and support of a variety of data base systems as they relate to data collection processes and systems
  • Manage and coordinate activity on capital and continuous improvement projects
  • Support system software backups
  • Daily support and troubleshooting of various control systems
  • Understand and support manufacturing and distribution safety requirements as related to the control systems
  • Interface and support other Engineering disciplines
  • Responsibility to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action
  • Performs other duties as requested by management
  • Follow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures



  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent four year degree preferred
  • Experience with Allen Bradley based control systems which includes, but is not limited to, Rockwell Factory Talk suite of software and Logix platform and proficient understanding of Allen-Bradley industrial networks
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL databases, VBA, iFix Scada system
  • 3-5+ years Manufacturing and/or distribution experience preferred
  • Experience of lean manufacturing experience a plus
  • Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions
