Job Overview:

Location: 931 South Highland Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719

Shift & Schedule: This position supports 3rd Shift, Monday–Friday, 9:30 PM–6:00 AM. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled is required.

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment. This role ensures equipment reliability while meeting productivity requirements and upholding KDP’s high standards for safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, consistently demonstrating safe behaviors.

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety standards in all work.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues through adjustments, parts replacement, or fabrication.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including line operators, to support autonomous maintenance, TPM functions, equipment setup, and centerlining.

  • Quickly learn and apply welding and machining skills on metals, plastics, and composites.

  • Fabricate or replicate minor parts for equipment repair or replacement.

  • Perform size changeovers and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.

  • Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, and control failures, implementing solutions with minimal downtime.

  • Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas.

Total Rewards:
  • Starting pay:$25.44  per hour, The employee will move to a higher rate of $26.78 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education.

  • Self-motivated team player with strong decision-making, communication, problem-solving, and coaching skills.

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Ability to frequently walk, kneel, squat, climb, bend, stoop, and twist.

  • Ability to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions.
