The National Account Executive (NAE) serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts across selling, promotions, pricing, and assortment. This role is responsible for developing and executing best-in-class customer strategies through a highly collaborative, team-first approach.
As a key member of the sales leadership team, the NAE drives volume, net sales, profit, and share growth by ensuring optimal assortment, distribution, and execution of Joint Business Plans (JBPs). Success in this role requires strong cross-functional leadership, data-driven decision making, and disciplined execution across Commercial, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Supply Chain, Brand, and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day leader and primary point of contact for assigned accounts, owning delivery of AOP targets and key performance metrics
- Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) in partnership with customer stakeholders to drive sustainable, multi-year growth
- Lead promotional strategy and trade investment planning, including pricing, pack architecture, forecasting, and ROI optimization
- Collaborate cross-functionally to build and execute both short- and long-term strategic account plans
- Lead the development and execution of marketing and merchandising initiatives, including digital and in-store activation
- Represent the business in internal and external planning forums, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), JBPs, and annual planning cycles
- Identify distribution gaps and growth opportunities using syndicated data, POS insights, and internal reporting tools; develop and track action plans to close gaps
- Lead all customer negotiations with a balanced approach to company and customer priorities
- Ensure effective budget management and trade spend optimization to maximize return on investment
- Strengthen relationships across internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment, execution, and long-term growth
Total Rewards:
- Salary range $116,100 - $170,000
- Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

- Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of CPG sales or sales support experience with a national retail account
- Experience collaborating with Wholesale distributors and Broker partners to drive execution and growth strategies preferred
- Cross-functional experience outside of Sales (e.g., Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Shopper Marketing, or E-Commerce) preferred
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to deliver against AOP objectives
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret syndicated data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and execution skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
