Machine Operator II - St. Louis, MO
The Line Technician is responsible for the complete operation and changeover of assigned machines within PhD and all other associated work. This includes safely maintaining, repairing, replacing and assisting in modifying all processing, packaging, and facility equipment in accordance with on-line quality and Best Practice procedures. 

Shift / Schedule: This position will work 2nd shift Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 9:30pm. Flexibility and availability to work overtime and holidays based on business needs. Will train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd shift. 

Position Responsibilities
  1. Operate machine in accordance with on-line quality and Best Practice procedures
  2.  Handle empty cases
  3. Perform Best Practice quality checks
  4. Watch for defective materials
  5. Clean and sanitize equipment and facility
  6. Perform preventative maintenance
  7. Complete mechanical repairs
  8. Assist mechanics during repairs
  9.  Perform quality inspections and associated paperwork
  10.  Make data driven process adjustments 
  11. Troubleshoot potential problems
  12. Train other operators
  13. Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  14. Wear all required safety gear and follow all GMP rules and regulations

Total Rewards

  • Pay starting at $23.38 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $24.62 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • Ability to learn all the essential functions of the position with a reasonable accommodation if needed.
  • Resolve routine questions and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher levels.
  • Work under direct supervision and follow standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to push/pull/lift and/or move 75 pounds.
