Maintenance Supervisor – Sacramento, CA

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the coordination, planning, and supervision of the Maintenance department. This position is focused on driving maintenance-related area improvement with cross-functional teams and overseeing the successful implementation of area maintenance projects. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and works cross functionally with Production, EH&S, Quality, HR, Finance and Engineering team members. This position is responsible for supervising approximately 20 technicians.

Shift/Schedule: 

This is a full-time position working 1st shift. This shift works primarily Monday through Friday, 5:30am to 3:30pm. Flexibility to work outside of normal schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and drive continuous improvement through TPM
  • Apply continuous improvement/Lean methodologies in problem solving, 5-Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, etc.
  • Assures equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity and product quality
  • Guide and Support maintenance technicians in trouble-shooting production equipment when necessary
  • Implements process enhancements to improve package changeover and line efficiency
  • Utilizes knowledge to maximize asset utilization and plant performance
  • Supports/Provides training to improve capability of maintenance technicians
  • Schedules and tracks standard preventive manufacturing measures and prioritizes plant maintenance opportunities
  • Coordinates and inspects major contract work on the equipment and building electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems
  • Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and vendors/contractors
  • Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties

Total Rewards

  • Targeted Compensation Range between $72,100 - $105,000. Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors.
  • Benefits eligible day one
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Operations Management preferred
  • Mechanical/Electrical experience maintaining production equipment preferably with a PLC background
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience in a lead or supervisory role  
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other CMS
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and in a team environment
  • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills
