Shift Availability:
We have 3 openings, one for each shift:
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, start time between 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM | 8–10 hour shifts
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, start time between 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | 8–10 hour shifts
- 3rd Shift: Sunday night, start time between 9:00 PM – Midnight | 8–10 hour shifts
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to lead all aspects of warehouse logistics operations on our 2nd shift. This role requires a proactive leader who can ensure operational excellence, maintain high safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume distribution environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, and the ability to mentor and develop team members while maintaining a collaborative, results-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Oversight
Lead, direct, and monitor all shipping, receiving, and material handling activities for the shift, ensuring on-time, accurate, and compliant execution.
Oversee confirmation of daily load reports to prevent material shortages and production delays.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and inventory control practices are consistently applied across the facility.
Conduct supplier pallet audits and enforce compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Review and approve pick tickets, inbound dock schedules, and STO reports for current and next-day production.
Team Management & Development
Assign and coordinate tasks for shipping/receiving personnel and material handlers, providing hands-on assistance when necessary.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to build capability and drive high performance.
Provide coverage for inventory control, shipping/receiving, and material handling roles as needed.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Actively lead and participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain 5S standards and ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization in all warehouse and production areas.
Partner with maintenance to report and resolve building or mechanical issues promptly.
Logistics & Communication
Check in/out drivers efficiently using Carrier Point (Ryder logistics software) while ensuring all required documentation is accurate.
Ensure outbound shipments are loaded correctly and paperwork is complete.
Communicate with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding delays, shortages, or late inbound loads.
Review trailer inventory against production requirements and WD yard reports to support production scheduling.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, including 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
Forklift certification required.
Proficient in SAP or similar ERP/WMS systems; advanced Excel and Microsoft Word skills.
Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs. repeatedly and work on your feet for extended periods.
