Job Overview:

The National Account Executive Broadline Distribution Role is a key member of our Foodservice Team, leading sales of our Warehouse Direct Cold & DSD portfolio into broadline distribution. This position executes business building initiatives including developing and implementing sales plans across multiple distributors & managing a geographic broker influence to drive growth.

This NAE role contributes to KDP’s volume, profit and share growth by developing, selling and executing initiatives against our Warehouse Direct Cold & DSD portfolio of brands and reports to the Director of Distribution.  The ability to develop and grow interpersonal relationships at all levels of management is core to this position.  This role demands a highly driven, results oriented, collaborative thinker with strong business planning, analytical and strategic selling skills.  Ideal candidate should have a proven track record of sales success, at least 5 years of consumer goods sales experience, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional collaboration with KDP internal teams including our company owned bottling network. They also must be able to negotiate rates and fee structures and understand the financials to ensure we meet Keurig Dr Pepper’s AOP objectives.

Location and Travel

This person will be home office based, & reside in the N.E. U.S. for efficient account coverage.  There is approximately 50% national travel.

Responsibilities

  • HQ call for each of the following Re-Distributors (DOT Foods, Purco, Dial & Quaker)
  • Lead broker relationship for N.E. geography to ensure objectives are met.
  • K12 National lead to further develop the segment while managing the agency partner & broker.
  • Develop short and long-term strategic plans that drive profitable growth for KDP. Execute volume driving tactics against company’s full Warehouse Direct Cold & DSD portfolio of brands to deliver targets.
  • Develop national promotions and build programs to drive sales and brand share.
  • Negotiate & secure distribution agreements to ensure KDP products can be supplied to foodservice accounts/operators.
  • Manage broker partnership to ensure objectives are measured & fulfilled.
  • Drive and report business results against objectives including volume, net sales, profit and margin.  Collect and analyze account data to identify opportunities, scorecard execution against objectives.
  • Build strategic plans while collaborating with broker leads to drive operator demand.
  • Responsible for managing outlook forecast & trade spend for respected accounts.
  • Develop selling stories based on customer needs, data analysis and market trends.
  • Maintain and develop business relationships with key decision makers with distribution & broker partners to influence growth.
  • Participate in partner meetings to build credibility & scale with customers.
  • Manage trade budgets to achieve targets while maintaining adherence to guardrail spending limits.
  • Ensure communication with cross functional teams within KDP including Revenue Growth Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing, Licensing, Legal, Operations/Business Intelligence, Trade Accounting and Master Data.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary range $116,100 - $170,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of CPG Sales, Negotiation & Senior Account Level Management experience
  • Experience with distribution management
  • High Proficiency in the use of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Presentation skills proficiency
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Reliable personal transportation
