Job Overview:

Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is looking for a highly motivated, analytically minded professional to join its Target Category Management team.

The Category Manager (Captain)  plays a valuable role in building a strong partnership with Target by providing strategic, consultative category guidance and execution to deliver market leading growth for Target & KDP’s beverage categories.  This individual will conduct high quality analysis, synthesize multiple data sources to generate actionable recommendations, and execute aligned strategies using effective communication & influence skills to orchestrate action within the operational realities of Target’s retail environment.

What you will do:

  • Develop and cultivate business relationships with Target key contacts that establish Keurig Dr Pepper as the indispensable partner for all category management needs
  • Plan and execute planogram transitions and revisions with the Target merchant team
  • Deliver fully integrated consumer, shopper, category and marketplace insights and trends to guide Target’s strategic choices and tactical executions, to drive market leading growth for the short and long term
  • Conduct robust analysis using research, category management capabilities, analytical tools, and data visualization to identify and communicate business opportunities or challenges
  • Penetrate and collaborate with multiple internal cross-functional teams and the customer to connect business opportunities and develop both strategic and tactical solutions
  • Provide category reporting, trend analysis, customized reports, and special project work directly to the Target merchant team
  • Leverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recognize and anticipate issues and opportunities by elevating analyses beyond reporting and translate insight into retail action
  • Serve as the expert on all things category to cross-functional team members

Total Rewards:
  • Salary range $96,800 - $143,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3-5 years CPG business experience in category management, sales, business analytics and/or shopper insights
  • Advanced proficiency in JDA Space Planning software required
  • Experience on a Target captain team preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written & presentation and follow-through
  • Highly skilled in data analytics and presentation building
  • Strength in leveraging facts and insights to build compelling stories with actionable recommendations
  • Superior drive for results with demonstrated ability to build collaborative & influential partnerships with the customer and internal business partners
  • Experience with syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen), retailer-specific POS (Vendor IQ, RSi, Engine) and guest data (Buyer Dashboard) preferred
