The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the inventory function for the production and/or warehouse facility. Direct supervisor over inventory clerks and coordinators. Typically reports to Plant or Warehouse Manager or Inventory Manager at large facility.
- Full-Time
- 5 days that include weekends/holidays as needed, usual schedule is Sunday through Thursday
- Start time 4am until finish. Inventory days start time will be at 1am until finish.
Position Responsibilities:
- Submit request for materials, prepare purchase orders, track purchases and supplies
- Schedule incoming and outgoing shipments both intercompany and external suppliers
- Work with operations team to review inventory strategies for maximum efficiencies
- Manage damage and returned product
- Monitor Inventory expiration dates for obsolesce avoidance and provide corrective action.
- Manage distressed inventory and short dated product
- Responsible for inventory/material dispositions
- Monitor completeness, accuracy, and compliance during inventory transactions.
- Oversee purchase orders, data entry, and shipping and receiving of materials
- Lead and supervise inventory team, resolving problems, conducting training and setting schedules.
- Track, audit, and ensure adequate supply of inventory throughout the organization.
- Lead the planning/organization of physical inventories
- Act as a liaison to other departments (Systems/Purchasing/Production)
- Communicate with production team about current stock and potential issues with orders
- Conduct daily analyses to forecast potential inventory issues
- Report on inventory activities and variances
- Conduct and report on inventory cycle counts
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices

Requirements
- 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience in warehouse/distribution center operations preferred
- 2 years of experience in inventory control
- 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- 2 years of experience using SAP or a similar system
