Training Specialist
As a Training Specialist you are responsible for creating standard work instructions and supporting and assessing standard work practices in the Production area. This position will coach, assist and train the trainers who are responsible for training the floor employees on their job responsibilities.
Shift & Schedule:
This is a full time position on Monday-Friday working 8am-5pm. Flexibility to work on off shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required.
What you will do:
- Create and support standard work and training practices using SWIs, OPLs, Master Document lists and other training tools
- Update individual employee training tracking as necessary using a training matrix; Administer KDP’s Connected Worker platforms
- Validate training effectiveness through the audit process along with Connected Worker Techs
- Train and coach employees to ensure confidence and success in the training system
- Facilitate bi-weekly meetings on all shifts with Managers, Supervisors, and technicians to ensure continuity of knowledge of training processes and procedures along with Connected Worker Techs
- Plan and execute NEO (New Employee Orientation) and onboarding
- Provide support and documentation expertise to CPI events and initiatives as necessary (edit standard work documentation, oversee training/retraining, and provide suggestions on what training tools would be most effective)
- Ensure and conduct uniform assimilation of equipment, processes, and products within site
- Partner with Safety and Quality departments to deliver training within the site
- Ensure uniform documentation for like equipment/processes across sites (e.g. Best Known Way)
- Develop self as well as others to support organizational readiness
- Provide support, feedback and consistent communication with Production Management, and our internal and external partners
- Publish communications and updates through established structure ad network as necessary
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and achieve operational excellence
- Participate in TPM Pillar activities such as regular meetings and offsite events
- Model the Keurig Dr Pepper values
- Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements directed by Keurig Dr Pepper and the department
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by management
Additional Responsibilities:
- Continuously improve manufacturing operations by identifying and implementing new and better methods of operating
- Lead focused improvement projects and events to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and report on progress/impact (productivity)
- Facilitate training sessions on continuous improvement methodologies and tools for employees at all levels
- Support the development and maintenance of a culture of continuous improvement within the organization

Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude of production operations
- Some knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, RCCM, and DMAIC methodologies
- Intensive knowledge of process flow with specific focus on Keurig Dr Pepper packaging lines, as well as the individual components within the area
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, as well as strong presentation and facilitation skills, to include large groups
- Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of Visio software applications; Fluent in Poka, Webalo, Alchemy
- Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as attention to detail
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and areas of focus
- Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external partners
- Be a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude that works well with a diverse workforce
- Ability to work flexible hours as necessary to support all four production shifts
