What you will do:
Champion process improvement in assigned areas by analyzing equipment maintenance history, identifying significant causes of waste, coordinating with appropriate employees to develop root-cause solutions, and providing maintenance assistance as necessary. Assist in day-to-day support of operators, adjustments, setups, and change over. Assist maintenance techs as required.
Shift and Schedule:
This is a full time position on:
- N2 shift (Friday - Sunday)
- 5:00pm-5:30am
-Safety
o Actively schedules, organizes, and leads risk reduction process (i.e. hazard hunts, risk assessments, job hazard analysis, PPE assessments, etc.)
-Quality
o Coaching and mentoring of Quality Data Set, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point systems.
o Uses lean tools and data for predictive analysis and implementation of corrective actions
o Leads layered internal audits
o Leads Root Cause Corrective Analysis /Corrective Action & Preventive Action activities with the team
o Trains Production Technician I and IIs in Root Cause Corrective Analysis skills, facilitation and leading.
o Role Model for understanding and demonstration of ownership of quality metrics.
o Role models SQF standards and facilitates the preparation and maintenance of standards relative to audits and compliance
-Delivery
o Coaching and teaching others in the Daily Management Systems particularly in determining root cause, concise problem statements & developing corrective action plans, escalating to zone or maintenance as appropriate.
o Able to identify and address minor equipment and material issues; make adjustments if applicable. Identify technical issues with or without maintenance.
o Coordinating and aligning standards between shifts.
o Define and review, and drive improvements to standard work.
o Partner with maintenance on the execution of preventative maintenance. Lead and facilitate improvement activities on issues that cross team and functional boundaries.
-Cost
o Lead Root Cause Corrective on waste reduction initiatives.
o Participation on plant-wide team focused on waste reduction and continuous process improvement initiatives.
o Coach & develop cost reduction with others.
o Active engagement in auditing of countermeasures.

Total Rewards:
• Pay starting at $28.43 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $29.85 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

Shift Differential: $3.00

Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will be highly competent and independent, and will be expected to demonstrate a basic level of mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to take on an increased level of ownership over their line and be capable of performing cross-functional tasks to achieve both tactical and strategic line performance goals.
- Candidates do not need to possess all the technical skills required for the position to apply, but must have the ability and desire to be trained on additional skills.
- Employees must be performing at the Production Technician II role successfully for at least 6 months prior to applying for the Advanced Tech position.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop their peers.
- Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements directed by Keurig and the department.
- Individuals with a 2nd warning or above in the previous 12 months are not eligible for progression.
