This new role is part of the Commodity Risk Management team in Global Sourcing, based in Newbridge, Ireland and reports to a Director, Commodity Risk Management. The successful person should be an experienced risk management specialist and willing to learn CRM, tools, processes and policies. You will have responsibility for leading Global Commodity Risk Management programs, futures, options, OTC's and forward fixed price contract execution, price forecasting for assigned commodities and communication to management. You will work in close collaboration with global sourcing teams to ensure sourcing strategies and contracts enable multi-tier commodity hedging.
The ideal candidate will work with Director, Commodity Risk Management to develop the risk management strategy for a specifically assigned group of commodities to manage market inflation, deflation and provide stability to business. The position will ensure full compliance with KDP Global Commodity Risk Management and Hedging Policy and any other internal guidelines.
What you will do:
- Ensure full compliance, reporting and other duties as per the KDP Risk Management Policy, SOX compliance and any other internal guidelines
- Contribute to key sub-committees, ensuring risk management is a key attribute to business updates/decision making
- Partner across all levels of management and functions to include supply chain finance, procurement, controlling and group treasury to recommend, execute and report hedging transactions in accordance with company defined risk management policies and procedures.
- Assist Director, Commodity Risk Management to create a culture of compliance and strong risk management awareness across the organization
- Support the development of a holistic global risk management strategy for assigned commodities
- Analyze the global supply and demand of assigned commodities and develop the market outlook with the objective to protect margin, provide the business with price certainty and support margin optimization.
- Stay current on Market movements, trends and manage external relationships
- Produce regular, clear and concise summaries/reports to BU Senior Leadership and be prepared to deliver verbal updates to key stakeholders when required
- Monitor and explain all changes of the Greeks, VAR, stress testing and back testing exceptions
- Collaborate with Procurement to enable CRM in tiers 1/2/3 as part of sourcing strategies
- Be responsible for updating the risk management system in a timely and correct manner
- Analyze and explanation of the P&L
- Do best for the team and the company by supporting your on-going personal development and career enhancement, for the benefit of the individual, the team and the business as a whole
- Represent KDP in a professional matter at relevant Industry meetings, events and when communicating with brokers, vendors, counterparts.

Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in portfolio and risk management at large consumer business or commodity trading houses
- 6+ years of experience trading financial derivatives across a diverse scope of market and commodities
- The individual in this position should have a global commodity background, with strategic sourcing experience and the capability to develop a global risk management strategy for assigned commodities
- Sound knowledge of risk management principles, able to demonstrate a proven track record of accomplishments
- Experience with risk managements systems
- Familiarity with cost accounting methodology and terminology (standard cost and purchase price variance)
- Self-starter, strong interpersonal, communication and team skills, with ability to work and communicate with clarity and professionalism with all levels of management and staff
- Record of leadership and credibility, capable of generating a high degree of respect and trust within the organization
- Ability to effectively negotiate and influence business decisions and change
- Strong Analytical, Planning, Market research and Trade Execution skills
- Effective in articulating various perspectives and impacts of issues and project them into the future. Able to see all sides and the inherent value to stakeholders
- Can work through tough agreements and settle disputes effectively
- Tenacity to get to the bottom of issues, with drive to resolve/identify solutions in a timely manner
- Ability to develop, supervise and nurture a team
- Fluent in verbal and written communication in English
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, mathematics, economics, supply chain, engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred
