OTR Transport Driver - Jacksonville, Florida
The Transport Driver is responsible for providing unfailing support to Sales and Operations by assuring that the Distribution Centers always have the merchandise to support the Company’s ability to meet or exceed our customers’ needs.

Shift and Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- Flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
Position Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle inspection and operates vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
- Notify Dispatcher of any mechanical problems or issues that occur during weekly routes.
- Operate bulk vehicle in the delivery of full Dr Pepper Snapple Group brands and picks up empty product transport containers or pallets in assigned warehouses.
- Will have weekly routes that will require DOT driver breaks to occur over the road in Dr Pepper Snapple Group equipment.
- Will be home most if not all weekend.
- Maintain DOT time log and other required transport documentation.
- Develop and maintain positive Company image in the trade and industry to achieve the Company’s objective for the overall growth and availability of Dr Pepper Snapple Group brands.
- Transport the right merchandise to the right place at the right time in the most cost effective and safe manner.
- Be vigilant in assuring safety as well as the cost-efficient maintenance and operation of Company vehicles by: performing daily vehicle inspections and address any concerns immediately, maintaining immediate and open communication regarding road hazards, etc., training all new employees in safety procedures and preventative maintenance.
- Will be required to manage available DOT driving times and landing areas for required breaks.
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.
- Exhibit thorough communication with the dispatch team and Transport manager.
Total Rewards:
- Pay starting at $31.99 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $33.65 per hour in the quarter after their 6 month anniversary. Plus overnight per diem

Requirements:
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License A (CDL A)
- 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Lift, push, pull up to 15lbs
