Job Overview:

Location: The role is based in Frisco, Texas.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to CPO and SVP, Beverage Concentrate Operations.

The role will lead the strategic sourcing and procurement function for all US-based Procurement activities across Coffee and USRB BU’s. The spend areas in scope are all Indirects, Marketing, Professional Services, Financial Services, Logistics, MRO and real estate. Apple buying for KDP brand Mott’s is also included in the scope. The team consists of 40+ professionals and covers $3Bn in spend. VP US Procurement will drive value creation and productivity through innovative procurement strategies, create strong supplier partnerships, and ensure availability of high quality products and services, all while upholding our commitment to sustainability, inclusion, and consumer-centric innovation. Connecting with BU’s and deep knowledge of spend categories and supply market are critical to success in this role.  The leadership, mentoring and development of a team of Procurement professionals at different stages of their career will be an essential element of this role.

Leadership in Procurement will ensure that Keurig Dr Pepper continues to deliver high-quality products that delight our customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute resilient short and long term procurement strategies tailored to the needs of Coffee and USRB BU’s, supporting Keurig Dr Pepper’s growth and innovation goals.
  • Drive year-on-year productivity to ensure fair market value across all spend areas and KDP profitability through multi-tier and end to end negotiations
  • Lead and grow the procurement team, driving upskilling, sourcing rigor, business acumen, connect and drive to achieve results. Crete a team of trusted partner to the business
  • Build and manage supplier relationships to make KDP the customer of choice for partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Logistics, R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance and Sustainability teams as well as Corporate functions to ensure procurement goals and plans are aligned to business goals and deliverables.
  • Implement best in class procurement analytics and insights to support BU and Procurement decision making and enhance capabilities in Procurement with new technologies and external insights
  • Lead implementation of Keurig Dr Pepper’s commitments to social responsibility and environmental stewardship within supply base.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and company standards across procurement activities with strong collaboration with P2P and Accounts Payables processes.
  • Oversee procurement budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, aligning financial goals with the needs of the business
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies relevant to beverages and packaging to maintain competitive advantage.

Requirements:

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Required Experience:

  • 15+ years of progressive procurement experience in consumer packaged goods. Deep expertise in Indirects Procurement needed.
  • Proven track record of leading procurement teams and delivering strategic sourcing results in, IT/Tech, Logistics and Indirects.
  • Deep understanding of supplier markets, complex negotiations and contracting.
  • Strong leadership, High energy, communication, and stakeholder management skills with strong business acumen and influencing skills.
  • Expertise in procurement technologies and analytics tools.

  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial principles and the ability to manage large budgets, forecast costs and ensure financial accountability for digital products/projects.
  • Consumer Orientation: KDP’s business relies on building a deep understanding of our consumers – this role will be leading teams that work to make that a reality.
