Job Overview:

Are you a hands-on data engineer passionate about building scalable data pipelines and enabling analytics that drive business decisions? At Keurig Dr Pepper, we’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to develop and optimize data workflows as part of our modern data ecosystem, supporting enterprise reporting, self-service analytics, and machine learning initiatives.

This is a high-impact role within a fast-moving, data-driven team.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will…

Data Engineering & Architecture:

  • Create robust and scalable data pipelines utilizing dbt, SnowSQL, and cloud-native solutions, ensuring clear documentation throughout.
  • Establish transformation layers and dimensional models that facilitate reporting, dashboard creation, and sophisticated analytics.
  • Develop integrations with both structured and semi-structured data sources from internal as well as external third-party platforms.
  • Implement frameworks for data validation and quality checks to guarantee the data's accuracy, completeness, and dependability.

Optimization & Automation:

  • Monitor and optimize data pipelines for efficiency and scalability.
  • Support code versioning, testing, and deployment automation with Git and CI/CD.
  • Use UC4/Automic to manage ELT workflows.

AI-Ready Data Ecosystems:

  • Work closely with Data Scientists to facilitate AI/ML pipelines by optimizing feature engineering, model training, and real-time inference processes.
  • Incorporate AI-based functionalities, including anomaly detection, intelligent alerting, and natural language enrichment, into data workflows.
  • Develop structured datasets to enable experimentation and forecasting initiatives.

Collaboration, Delivery & Technical Leadership:

  • Partner with product owners, solution architects, data analysts, and engineering peers to translate business requirements into well-modeled datasets and reliable pipelines.
  • Lead technical delivery by breaking down work, coordinating dependencies, and removing blockers to keep execution on track.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Support design reviews and ensure solutions align to established architectural, governance, and change-control standards.

Governance, Standards & Platform Health:

  • Define and uphold engineering standards across the analytics ecosystem (modeling conventions, testing, documentation, and release practices).
  • Guide architecture/design reviews to ensure technical rigor and adherence to governance and change-control procedures.
  • Track platform health (reliability, scalability, cost/performance) and drive continuous improvements with measurable outcomes.

Total Rewards:
  •  Salary Range: $96,800 - $151,00
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

Education

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, information systems, or a closely related discipline is required.

Experience:

8+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering development.

Core Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with analytics platforms such as Snowflake and/or Informatica Cloud
  • Experience with conceptual architecture, data integration design, and wireframing
  • Expert-level SnowSQL, Snowflake Notebooks or Snowpark experience
  • Hands-on experience with data transformation tools such as dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud
  • DevOps practices including Git workflows, CI/CD, and automation
  • UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting
  • Experience with orchestration tools like UC4 or Automic
  • Experience working PowerBI as data visualization tool
  • Experience using SAP ERP as a data source specially SAP FICO module
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP services such as GCS, Artifact Registry, etc.

Core Lead Skills:

  • Conduct code reviews
  • Guide technical direction through patterns, standards, and reference architecture
  • Break down tasks, coordinate delivery, resolve blockers, manage technical risk and dependencies
  • Promote governance, quality, and CI/CD standards throughout the group

Nice to have Skills:

  • Basic Python skills, with the ability to read and enhance existing code
  • Exposure to AI/ML platforms such as Databricks
  • Experience with Azure and/or AWS (nice to have)
