Senior Application Security Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing a new application security tool, working with development teams to integrate the tool into their processes, and establishing governance for the application security practice. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively on-board and drive the adoption of new tools and processes across development teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of a new application security tool, ensuring it meets the organization's security requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate the new security tool into their workflows and processes.
- Establish and enforce governance policies and best practices for application security.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate risks.
- Provide training and support to development teams on the use of the new security tool and application security best practices.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, providing expert analysis and remediation.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies to ensure the organization's security posture remains robust.
- Work closely with other departments, including IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure comprehensive security coverage.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.I
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cyber-security, with a focus on application security.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as OWASP, NIST, and ISO.
- Experience with security tools and technologies, such as Snyk, Coverity, Burpsuite, etc.
- Knowledge of all application security testing methods, such as SCA, SAST, DAST, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud security, particularly in Google Cloud and Azure environments.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools, particularly Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Jira.
