Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing and recording of time and pay for multi-state payroll which includes 1000+ employees in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines
  • Responsible for data completeness in the Kronos timekeeping system and for data being properly interfaced into the ADP GV payroll system
  • Compile, balance, and ensure compliance requirements are met for additional earnings submissions, time corrections, and rate overrides submitted from multiple locations and validate results in the ADP GV payroll system
  • Review ADP GV payroll reports to confirm data is balanced with timekeeping and branch submission reports to ensure accuracy and identify any out-of- balance conditions needing correction
  • Understand and apply company policy, collective bargaining agreements, and state/government regulations effecting payroll procedures
  • Facilitate strong customer service relationships with external/internal personnel and peers
  • Research, analyze, and interpret multiple sources of payroll data to provide resolution for payroll inquiries from HR, Finance, and Business Managers which includes tier 1 Kronos support, error troubleshooting, and Kronos testing
  • Maintain accurate Kronos assignments and PTO accruals for new hire, transfer, and LOA employees
  • Provide support for external and internal audits related to pay items
  • Support payroll projects, process improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of payroll and/or HR experience
  • Experience with large company payroll and timekeeping systems
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem solving skills and attention to detail
