Job Overview:

The Sales and Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and communication strategy for trade events and sales initiatives across the organization. This role serves as a critical liaison between Marketing, Sales, Brand Teams, external vendors, and agency partners to deliver impactful trade show experiences, streamline internal communications for sales teams.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized project manager and strong communicator with experience managing complex events, cross-functional stakeholders, and content platforms in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Show & Event Management

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of national, regional, and customer-specific trade shows, industry conferences, and sales meetings.
  • Develop event timelines, logistics plans, and communication strategies to ensure flawless execution.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Allied Partners, Operations, and Leadership teams to align event objectives and deliverables.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, production partners, promotional suppliers, and event organizers.
  • Oversee booth design, signage, promotional materials, product sampling, shipping logistics, and on-site execution.
  • Ensure brand standards and messaging are consistently represented across all event touchpoints.

Internal Communications & Content Management

  • Manage the company's sales and marketing content portal (“The Source”), ensuring materials are current, organized, and easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with Commercial partners and other key stakeholders to develop and maintain sales tools, presentations, product information, promotional assets, and training materials.
  • Create and distribute internal communications through newsletters, email campaigns, presentations, and digital channels.
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate business priorities into clear, actionable communications.
  • Maintain communication calendars and ensure timely delivery of critical information to internal audiences.
  • Establish governance processes for content updates, approvals, and version control.
  • Monitor portal usage and gather feedback to continuously improve the user experience and content effectiveness.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event-related initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships across departments and with external partners to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary range $96,800 - $150,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, event marketing, trade show management, or sales enablement.
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), beverage, food and beverage, or related industries preferred.
  • Proven success managing large-scale trade shows and cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to manage real-time changes during events, troubleshooting on-site issues including shifting timelines, vendor delays and unexpected logistical challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing content management systems, sales enablement platforms, or internal communication portals.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ESKER and ARIBA AP Systems.
  • Ability to travel as required to support trade events and company meetings (~20-30% travel).
  • Able to occasionally work non-standard hours around event schedules.
