Director of Data Engineering & Business Intelligence

Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is seeking a results-driven senior leader to oversee Data Engineering and Business Intelligence within Marketing Analytics & Intelligence. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Analytics & Intelligence, this role oversees the end-to-end data pipelines, data products, monitoring, reporting, and visualization – delivering advanced analytics, AI / ML applications and visualization to drive data-grounded actions.

You will architect scalable, extensible data systems that power insights, strategy, and AI across marketing. The ideal candidate is a team builder with a proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced, data-driven environments. You bring expertise in Big Data processing, adaptability, and a passion for enabling data intelligence through technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing data engineering team, including managers and junior staff.
  • Data Architecture & Engineering: Design and maintain secure, efficient ML/AI ecosystems using GCP and Snowflake. Implement data maturity principles (Bronze to Silver to Gold) in a Marketing-owned data lake, in collaboration with enterprise data architects.
  • Innovation & Business Impact: Partner with business leaders, product managers, and data scientists to deliver impactful data solutions. Drive innovation for bringing insights to life across each type of analytics (descriptive to predictive). This includes agentic concepts for insights extraction and contextualization.
  • Governance & Compliance: Collaborate with Data Governance to establish and implement best practices for data quality, compliance (GDPR, CCPA), and security.
  • DevOps & Deployment: Ensure robust DevOps processes for code development and deployment.
  • Data Modeling & BI: Develop data models and architecture for analytics and reporting. Deliver dynamic, intuitive decision tools and visualizations (PowerBI).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate business requirements into engineering specifications. Bridge technical and business teams with clear communication. Automate ad-hoc data needs over time.


Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $190,000 - $240,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in ETL, BI, and Data Analytics
  • 5+ years in Big Data systems, pipelines, and processing
  • Expertise in data architecture, modeling, and Big Data processing
  • Experience with ML/AI Ops using GCP and Snowflake as well as emerging technologies
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring data engineering teams
  • Skilled in API integration and SQL-friendly pipeline design
  • Familiarity with data privacy standards and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of visualization best practices across multi-modal interfaces (PowerBI, UIs, AI for BI)
  • Understanding of LLM foundations and architecture (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, time management, stakeholder management and attention to detail
  • CPG and Marketing experience (preferred)
