Business Analyst

What we are looking for:

Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a Business Analyst (BA) to engage with KDP stakeholders to capture functional and technical requirements and specifications to make data-driven decisions.  The BA will have a solid understanding of business processes, key business drivers, and short and long-term goals. This individual highly collaborates with others in the organization to determine the business requirements of an application/product or program and communicates them clearly to service the development teams. The incumbent identifies areas for improving IT products and makes recommendations to better solve business problems that may be related to technology, business processes, policy, or structure.

What you will do:

As the Business Analyst, you will…

  • Engage with stakeholders via workshops, meetings, interviews, etc. to define the business rules/requirements and the vision that the product or solution needs to support.
  • Use strong business and technology acumen to document and translate business requirements into technical system requirements and/or user stories.
  • Leverage systems analysis models and diagrams such as activity diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, etc. to solve problems.
  • Develop specifications, diagrams, flowcharts, and other artifacts for development teams.
  • Recommend changes to existing applications, software, and products, identifying impacted interfaces, and working with technical teams to implement and test changes.
  • Support opportunities to streamline business processes, define swim lanes, automate, and improve technology solutions.
  • Formulate ideas for product improvement and work with Product Owners / Managers in prioritizing and organizing backlog and providing product demonstrations.

Who you are:

  • Basic knowledge of data models and structures as well as database design tools and query languages (e.g., Visio, SQL, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of data exploration techniques (binning, pivoting, summarizing, and finding correlations).
  • Basic knowledge of various software development lifecycles (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Demonstrated skills in extracting project related information from all stakeholders like business teams, developers, engineers etc.
  • Developing skills in evaluating and analyzing systems, identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
  • Developing skills in optimizing workflows by creating data-driven visual representations of key business processes.
  • Ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity and have attention to detail.
  • Ability to represent information in process models, use cases, and data flow diagrams to provide direction to developers, designers, and vendors.
  • Ability to engage in opportunities to understand how to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations and policies of a new business area.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Typically, 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst or related roles.
  • Aptitude for breaking down work into manageable parts and effectively assessing the priority and time to complete each part.
  • Experience working with multiple, diverse technologies in various processing environments.
  • Proven experience analyzing, documenting, and designing business processes in the context of processes/services/products/software and integration. (preferred)
  • Experience working in DevOps and Agile technology environments. (preferred)
  • Native-level proficiency/fluent in English.
