Vending Technician Lead - Dallas, Texas
Assist Vending Supervisor’s & Manager’s with day-to-day operations of Coordinators, Dispatchers, technicians, and installers. The IC (Immediate Consumption) Vending Technician -Lead assumes responsibility for parts ordering and warehousing. Additionally, this position is charged with providing superior mechanical equipment service/installation support to Vending Market Technicians within the North Texas & Oklahoma geography, ultimately assuring the highest level of soft drink quality possible.
- Full-time; Monday- Friday (6:00AM start)
Position Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on coin changers, dollar bill validators, telemetry, vending equipment, coolers, and fountain equipment.
- Complete all required administrative paperwork legibly, accurately and timely.
- Responsible for completing all training satisfactorily according to job responsibilities.
- Contact internal & external customers to confirm equipment size and specifications for accurate parts fulfilment and discuss installation requirements including shipping date and information.
- Source spare parts and release equipment through internal purchasing systems.
- Prioritize installations. Arrange schedules to meet deadlines and shipping parameters.
- Establish a realistic estimated time of arrival (ETA) with all internal & external customers.
- Maintain constant contact with customers, Vending Technicians, Vending Supervisors, distribution, and field sales throughout entire part fulfillment process.
- Conduct follow-up phone interviews with vending technicians to ensure part installations were accomplished on time and to gauge customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that all parts requests are closed properly using internal tracking systems.
- Contact OEM and aftermarket suppliers to confirm equipment size and specifications for accurate parts fulfilment installation dates and equipment requirements.
- Communicate with sales and vending management issues relating to scheduling and spare parts availability including back orders.
- Maintain the parts inventory control system by timely and accurate recording or data entry for parts movement into and out of the parts room.
- Order parts, maintaining a controlled part quantity for each part, eliminating out of stocks and excessive part quantities.
- Receive parts into the parts system.
- Dispersal of parts to technicians or other branches as necessary.
- Maintain the parts inventory control function by accurately accounting for parts movement into and out of the center.
- Ensure the accuracy and processing of all daily, weekly and monthly reports for each function as required.
- Assist with creating performance coaching and development plans as it relates to this function.
- Perform on-site quality control checks of vending technicians inventory locations.
- Monitor adherence of employee request & return SOP.
- Operate within vending parts budget guidelines using fiscal responsibility including ongoing operating expense, significant parts inventories.
- Ensure data integrity as it relates to parts procurement.
- Assist with other duties as needed.
Total Rewards:
- Pay starting at $24.40 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $25.68 per hour in the quarter after their 6 month anniversary.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in customer service management preferably in the soft drink industry.
- Ability to work while standing, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, kneeling and lifting for the entire duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the entire shift from floor to over-head.
- Minimum of one year experience as Vending Technician preferred.
