Descripción del trabajo:
  • Provides a full range of legal advice and services. Responsibilities are within the Legal Function as a generalist or in a combination of different legal disciplines, such as, Corporate, environment, Compliance, Labor, Incident Management Team , regulatory, litigation in criminal and civil, etc.
  • Participate as a full member of the Mexico Leadership Team (“MLT”) to influence overall business unit strategy. Advise the MLT on all legal issues including government regulations, and legal requirements for doing  business in Mexico.
  • Report into the Mexico Business Unit President and the SVP Legal for KDP corporate.
  • Responsibility in Compliance matters, working together with our corporate compliance function in Speaking Up complaints, Code of Conduct, Policies, FCPA certification and related issues. Lead the local Incident Management Team
  • Establish a legal unit strategy, managing the legal team, resources, and budgets,to support the overall business initiatives and objectives, set direction and lead the legal activities to execute in the field, aligned to KDP’s legal report  strategy and objectives.
  • Create new ideas and solutions to identify business opportunities and challenges in regulatory and legislation issues and help move the ideas forward; using an engagement culture of success in the Legal Team and ongoing business and goal achievement.
  • Provide legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations and privileges of the organization.
  • Support marketing & new product development functions regarding all the innovation & Intellectual Property activities, advertising campaigns, COFEPRIS registrations, trade activities, to achieve the company objectives.
  • Manage key associations and key legal networks to advise the business of potential risks
  • Represents the organization to customers, suppliers, competitors and government agencies.
  • Examines legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuits
  • Achieve the corporate responsibility commitments and integrate our ambitious sustainability agenda and leading ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) practices into the business.
  • Monitor the legislative and economic activity of the government that affects the sector in which the company operates.
  • Participate in forums in which issues that affect/or may affect the development of the business are discussed.

Requisitos:

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree of Law; MBA preferred

Preferred Professional Background/ Work Experience:

  • 15+ years of broad-based legal leadership experience in positions as a Legal Director in food or beverage corporations or in a legal firm
  • Ability to plan and manage the legal team, the MLT and working close with all the functions that the legal area provides services while balancing short-term and long-term objectives
  • Ability to analyze legal, legislative, regulation, corporate, and business information needed to set legal and services of the business and improve customer relationships to positively impact growth
  • Proven flexibility and ability to respond the business priorities and requirements
  • Success delivering exceptional legal results in a fast-paced, collaborative business environment
  • Experience building and keep the legal organization and high-performance teams
  • Solid understanding of the Mexico environment and legal regulations
