Winter Co-op 2025 - Mechanical Engineer - Burlington, Massachusetts

As a Winter Co-op 2025 - Mechanical Engineer in Burlington, Massachusetts at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP), you will have the opportunity to work in a challenging, highly technical appliance development environment. You will work on a cross-discipline team of engineers, prototyping and testing mechanical designs as well as thermal-fluids delivery solutions (heaters, pumps, valves, and plumbing) for next generation Keurig appliances. You will work in both lab and desk settings to develop design solutions and problem solve challenges on an industry-leading consumer product.

Shift/Schedule:

  • The KDP 2025 Winter Co-op Program will run from January 6 - May 23, 2025
  • Full-time; 40 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:00am until 5:00pm
  • Hybrid: (T/W/Th in office)

As a Mechanical Engineer Co-op you will:

  • Work in a lab environment, developing integrated Mechanical/ SW/ Electrical HW systems
  • Perform 3D CAD design and modeling simulations
  • Perform Statistical Analysis of performance test data from coffee maker appliances
  • Hands on building of prototypes (3D Printing, Machining, Plastic Parts)
  • Perform dFMEA and/ or informal risk analysis of designs
  • Develop test plans and procedures, and execute tests and Designs of Experiments (DOE) in a lab environment
  • Develop skills with lab test fixtures and equipment

Elements of the KDP Intern/Co-Op Program include:

  • Engaging and partnering on innovative projects to gain experience in a challenging, cross functional team environment
  • Participate in meet & greets and lunch & learns with KDP executives and other organization leaders
  • Receive professional development training such as networking, professional skills development and presenting
  • Be paired with a mentor to enhance your knowledge of other parts of the business and build your network
  • Complete a project from start to finish and present it and your takeaways to your team, department vice president and other KDP stakeholders

Please note: This position is limited to persons with permanent right to work in the United States.

Requirements

  • Must be an undergraduate currently enrolled in a full-time academic program from an accredited college or university, majoring in Mechanical Engineering
  • Available to work 40 hours per week (M-F, 8am-5pm)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines
  • CAD Proficiency (Solidworks preferred)
  •  Prototyping (3D Printing, Injection Molding, or Machining)
  •  General Lab Experience (hands-on building and testing)

Nice to Haves:

  • CSWA / CSWP certificate
  • Experience using Arduino or Raspberry PI
  • Experience with Labview or Python (Data acquisition (DAQ)
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (JMP or Minitab)
