The National Account Executive (NAE) will be responsible for over $75MM in retail sales across the Atlanta, Nashville and Delta Division’s operating under the Kroger enterprise.
This position is a critical role that is primarily responsible for Divisional AOP attainment through the achievement of key metrics designed to drive volume, profit and share.
- Full customer acceptance and execution against innovation and Big Bet programs
- Enhancement of Inventory on Display (total case growth YOY)
- Achieve Display Fair Share Growth target
- Optimize Display Mix for Profitable Growth
- Monthly Execution of Key Priorities
This role demands a customer obsessed, bold thinker with excellent communication and strategic selling skills. They must be able to uncover opportunities through customer data, validate through in-store research and solve with innovative thinking and an extraordinary level of commitment to problem solving.
Internally, this individual must proactively collaborate with leaders across our RTM on barriers to execution while negotiating internally with Finance, Revenue Management, Category Management, and Commercial Planning to provide support for delivery of the annual plan.
This person will report to the Sr. Director of Sales & Execution Kroger Team.
This is an Individual Contributor role with no directs, but a large cross-functional support team including RGM, CAT MAN and OMNI Marketing.
Location and Travel: This role is field based in Atlanta, GA
Job Responsibilities:
- The Divisional NAE is the singular voice of KDP to the customer
- Cultivates and maintains positive business relationships with all Kroger Divisional Leaders and internal key stakeholders such as the KDP RVP of Sales, RVP of Operations and their Routes to Market leadership teams.
- Enhance and prioritize weekly/monthly plans from CSD, Tea, Water and Energy NAE’s and disseminate to all RTM partners with clear direction on how to execute flawlessly
- Excels at negotiating with the customer to improve KDP’s position week to week on planner
- Exhibits a strong executive presence to build Top to Top relationships with Kroger divisional team
- Manages local/regional program process from planning to execution, ensuring all retailer timelines are met, deliverables are executed, and communication is timely to internal parties, external partners and the retailer.
- Shrewd investor that maximizes trade budget against incremental promotional plans to deliver optimal return on investment
- Stakeholder Management: Sell key initiatives to bottlers/ distributor decision makers, ensuring execution of strategies and plans
- Utilizes internal syndicated data to identify
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 7 years of CPG sales, or sales support experience required
- DSD and/or Beverage experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using IRI or other syndicated data
- Minimum 5 years’ experience using MS Office products like PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel
