Shift and Schedule: This is a full time position on Night Shift on the 2-2-3 Rotating 12 hour shift 6:00pm - 6:00am.Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled. 

Shift Pattern:
6:00pm - 6:00am
  • Week 1: Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday
  • Week 2: Sunday Wednesday Thursday 

Quality Technician II

The Quality Technician II is responsible for working with Quality, Operations and Maintenance to perform the validation and verification activities on shift as well as ensure the utilization of the Food Safety Management System as indicated.

Position Responsibilities

  • Performs duties with a safety-first approach
  • Perform line audits with advanced knowledge of production lines
  • Maintain lab testing equipment
  • Understands how to identify defects and discrepancies concerning quality issues and effectively communicate to resolve each problem
  • Prepare reagents and solutions for use in testing procedures
  • Skilled in numerous testing procedures of raw materials, packaging, preparation, and finished products
  • Work without supervision
  • Ensures compliance with company specifications and government regulatory requirements including FDA, GMPs, and HACCP/HARPC
  • Ensures that all product produced meets quality specifications by inspecting sanitation, recipe compliance, labeling, fill weights, and food safety specifications
  • Perform inventory movements in SAP
  • Assist in plant trials
  • Review paperwork for all lines (excluding low acid products)
  • Assist in VMS audits
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager, supervisor, and lead

Total Rewards:
  • Pay starting at $29.26 per hour + Shift Diff

Requirements:

Requirements

  • BS or AA degree in science or technical field preferred
  • 3 years of experience in a food/beverage/pharmaceutical industry
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motion Ability to spend significant time standing on the manufacturing floor with some frequency of computer work
  • Must be available to work extended hours and flexible time in different departments based on business needs
