The Production Tech Team Lead manages and coordinates the activities of production personnel engaged in packaging beverage products for storage & shipment, including providing leadership, direction and facilitation on multiple high speed production lines.

Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position on B shift working 6am-6pm on a 223 rotating schedule.  Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required. 

Position Responsibilities

  • Employee safety and security is the highest priority, ensuring the team is working safely and acting as a role model.
  • Seeks to build a strong team engage all employees to contribute and participate.
  • Direct and coach production operators in the execution of daily/weekly production schedules for multiple packaging lines. 
  • Manage resources to safety deliver operational goals while working within operating budget.
  • Coordinate resources ensuring safety, quality and productivity while minimizing waste. 
  • Complete and update all necessary production paperwork and record.
  • Ensure equipment remains in new working order supporting autonomous maintenance
  • Review and analyze production records to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and contributing towards becoming a lean organization.
  • Make recommendations for long term solutions, including recommendations for procedural changes, productivity improvements, material change, etc.
  • Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work processes are followed, countermeasures implemented and the area is compliant with housekeeping (5s) and safety requirements
  • Must promote a team environment and must develop direct reports through problem solving engagement.
  • Drive team engagement with, skills and capability development..

Total Rewards

  • Compensation: Pay starting at $29.80 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $31.42 per hour in the quarter after their 6 month anniversary.
  • Benefits, subject to eligibility, and collective bargaining agreements (where applicable): Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including vacation and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility food, beverage, pharmaceutical or chemical industry preferred
  • 2 years of experience in a leadership role developing individuals, coaching, mentoring and building a team environment.
  • Demonstrated working experience in operations of with high-speed production machinery and monitoring of product quality.
