Maintenance Mechanic I - Bethlehem
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, boilers, pumps, liquid fillers, packaging equipment, material handling equipment, bulk delivery equipment, and blending/mixing systems. This position will primarily focus on the utilities side of maintenance.
Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position on 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, from 3:00pm - 11:30pm. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor equipment to ensure operation meets OEM standards and production requirements.
Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical problems; perform repairs through adjustments, part replacement, or fabrication.
Respond promptly to maintenance calls and assist in troubleshooting.
Perform routine preventive maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, and modifications on assigned equipment.
Wire moderately complex control circuits.
Replace, set up, and calibrate electronic components.
Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and piping systems (hot/cold water, steam, process, condensate) using proper formulas.
Weld various metals and machine metals, plastics, and composites.
Fabricate or replicate minor parts for equipment repair or replacement.
Complete size changeovers, make adjustments, and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
Troubleshoot 3-phase 480V motors and VFDs.
Complete work orders and associated paperwork accurately.
Provide coverage or assistance throughout the facility as needed to support production and equipment needs.
Ensure all work adheres to quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement standards.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Maintain a high level of safety awareness and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to management.

Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 1 year experience troubleshooting 3-phase (480V) circuits, motor starters and controls, and electronic circuit boards.
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly; walking and standing for extended periods.
