Postion title: Senior Financial Analyst, BC & Marketing Spend

  • Promote continuous improvements in order to optimize organizational processes and generate superior business results
  • Contribute in planning, organizing and coordinating the budget process, particularly in the areas of all marketing expenditures and beverage concentrates (BC) trade
  • Coordinate the collection of information and preparation of periodic financial and management reports, especially with regard to brand investments
  • Participate in different presentations to management, answering questions
  • Challenge the assumptions that are subject to be consistent with market dynamics
  • Assist the Senior Finance Manager, on BC business cases, evaluating ROI and profitability
  • Ensure that the company complies with all statutory requirements, and with the policies, procedures and ethical standards set by Keurig Dr Pepper

Operational  70%

  • Prepare financial statements by providing performance analysis - support and prepare marketing and BC trade forecast (Annual, Quarterly, Monthly), prepare month end entries for accruals and provide grounded explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts
  • Ensure that all budgets and forecasts are accurately input and reconciled in the financial systems, and prepare journal entries to correct any issues identified
  • Participate in the development and assumptions for the annual operating plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasts
  • Build financial summary for presentation purposes for senior management or discussions with commercialization, sales and brand teams
  • Collaborate with budget owners to provide updated forecast on all marketing spend and BC trade spend, identify areas of opportunity to determine how funds can be reinvested or optimized to drive financial performance
  • Analyze and optimize processes for constant improvement by upgrading, automating and improving reporting and analytical tools
  • Participate in the reporting of Canadian financial information to US regional offices, via internal reporting platform

  • Responsible to identify and pursuing technical, professional and interpersonal training programs for his/her self.
  • Work and collaborate with Commercial Teams to develop business cases.
  • Attend periodic staff meetings to discuss and align business opportunities and priorities.
  • Along with immediate supervisor, responsible for personal development and career planning.



  • Bachelor degree in finance or accounting - CPA designation an asset
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or retail sectors
  • General knowledge of accounting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of software SAP, Siebel and Hyperion Financial Management


  • Highly analytical approach, constantly seeking to understand the driver for results
  • Proven track record of planning and forecasting skills
  • Strong analytical, technical skills and ability to link information together; capable of translating findings into business actions
  • Ability to take projects from the ground up to ending stage with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to effectively build solid relationships with the finance team, functional group, cross-functional peers and upper level management
  • Self-managed, motivated, entrepreneurial style; brings matter to resolution
  • Must be adaptable, able to multi-task and take on additional responsibilities as necessary
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required
  • Language - English mandatory – French an asset
