Job Description



The Director of Compensation leads all strategic initiatives related to Keurig Dr Pepper’s global compensation design, development, implementation compliance, policy, and budget for broad-based and executive compensation programs. This includes base pay, incentive pay, and equity programs. The Director of Compensation will work with senior leadership to ensure that KDP’s compensation strategy and programs support our short- and long-term business objectives.

            What you will do:

  • Designs, implements and provides financial oversight of all employee and executive compensation programs include base pay, short-term incentives, and long-term incentive plans.
  • Lead the development of core compensation methodologies, frameworks, and standards related to pay ranges, compensation survey management, benchmarking and market pricing, job structures and levels and annual merit program.
  • Lead the annual compensation planning cycle globally, partnering with Compensation Business Partners in the delivery and management of the process, guidelines, and communications out to the business
  • Responsible for the design of variable incentive programs across the organization. Strong business acumen required to understand the impact of variable and sales compensation on behaviors that drive business performance.
  • Manages a team of compensation professionals, fostering collaboration across functions to accomplish objectives.
  • Analyzes existing compensation/HR policies as well as prevailing practices and regulations among similar organizations to establish competitive compensation programs.
  • Leads the overall compensation communication strategy and execution, partnering with the internal communications, legal and HR business partners.
  • Partners with finance, legal and audit to identify cost, risk and legal implications to compensation programs and potential changes. 
  • Develops, maintains and reports statistical data regarding current plans, proposed changes, costs/expenditures and delivery methods.
  • Equity compensation and program administration experience.
  • Executes transformation initiatives and process improvement projects in a fast-paced environment to drive efficiency and cost savings while maintaining a positive employee experience. 
  • Manages relationships with all compensation vendors.


Requirements

What you must have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience: 10-15 years of related work experience with at least 5 years managing a team of compensation professionals 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of delivering compensation programs effectively to support business strategies, and delivering content through the lens of the customer, including sales compensation, hourly manufacturing
  • Strong analytical skills, communication skills (written & verbal) and the ability to innovate
  • Orientation toward using technology to automate programs and processes; experience with Workday beneficial
  • Deep understanding of change management and the ability to think strategically around how to deploy programs and manage that change across a variety of business units and different workforces
  • Ability to embrace organizational ambiguity and change, and navigate and make decisions through uncertainty
  • Excellent interpersonal, influence, consulting, customer service, communication and collaboration skills required. Experience influencing senior management required.
  • Ability to create executive level presentations to influence and guide decisions and to lead discussions at the executive level.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to effectively balance competing priorities during project lifecycles while adhering to specific deadlines.
  • Ability to build partnerships across various functions, especially finance, legal and labor relations.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.
