Engineering Project Manager

The Williamson, NY operation is a roughly 1 million sq ft production facility with 217 acres of land. The site is the Home of the Brand Motts that has been delighting our consumers for more than 140 yrs. We produce a wide variety of products with diverse packaging capabilities going from Apple sauce, to juices and concentrates. Alongside production, the site includes a raw apple operation key for its success. The site operation will function on the foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance); principles of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma; and the power of High-Performance Teams. The facility is a unionized location. 

The Engineering Project Manager oversees multiple medium to large complexity/risk/impact projects.

Location: This role will be 100% onsite at our Williamson, NY plant

What you will do:

  • Coordinate project teams, assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Capital Planning and Execution: Develop capital expenditure requests (CER’s), scope projects, define project plans and manage budgets and schedules.
  • Project Life Cycle Management: Lead projects through the stage gate process, from initial scoping and design (including design review prior to submitting CER) through start up, commissioning, and final handover to plant operations.
  • Develop, maintain and manage project stakeholders and appropriate communication, engagement and support.
  • Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity using problem solving tools and techniques.
  • Identify roadblocks and recommend resolutions; develop plans to turn any/all project challenges into order for all aspects of the project deliverables.
  • Ensure program leadership is fully engaged, supportive and clear on project plans, resources and deliverable status.
  • Coordinate project teams, assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Construction and Installation: Oversee contractors, engineering firms and on site construction, manage installation and commissioning of installed equipment.
  • Financial and schedule control: develop, monitor, and control project budgets, spend projections, and timelines to meet strategy goals.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all installations meet safety, quality, environmental, and food safety standards.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $96,800 - $170,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business management field preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in project management or comparable experience.
  • Experience with technologies including CSD, Juices and Teas, Aseptic, manufacturing equipment including Fillers, Cappers, Conveyance, Packers, Palletizers, Control Systems, RO, and Batch/CIP systems.
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar capital, expense or commercialization projects
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
