This position is located in Rogers, AR – in close proximity to the Walmart Home Office.
The National Account Executive (NAE) will partner with a strong team of selling support professionals in leading our Coffeemaker and Accessories business at Walmart. Achievement and measures of success will be secured through strong collaboration with our Commercial, Revenue Growth Management, Brand and the local support team. The prime candidate will be the principle point of contact for Walmart for all related selling, promotional, pricing, and assortment and will use their internal selling network and a high spirit of collaboration to ensure a team first approach is achieved in building and executing exceptional customer plans.
The NAE will serve as a key member of the sales team who contributes to the strategic direction of the customer relationship. This role contributes to Net Revenue, Profit, and Volume and Share growth by driving distribution and availability across our Brewer and Accessories portfolio, while developing and executing against our customer Joint Business Plans.
The ideal candidate will bring 5 or more years of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales experience, calling on headquarter buyers at Walmart or other key retailers. They will have experience building a strategic annual operating plan (AOP), as well as demonstrated use of syndicated and Walmart Luminate data in a solution selling environment. This individual will also need to have a strong financial background with an ability to understand the key levers and drivers for profitable growth.
This individual must proactively partner with internal KDP resources that influence and help drive execution of the Walmart plan and assist with budget management to maximize results and return on investment. This individual also must be strong in strategic and complex planning as a majority of the portfolio is Direct Import with longer lead times than most CPG items.
This role is located Rogers, Arkansas, with 10% travel.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day leader and principle point of contact and accountability for Coffeemakers and Accessories and will be accountable for the delivery of the Annual Operating Plan and the achievement of key KDP and Sam’s Club business metrics
- Operate as the “tip of the spear” in conjunction with selling and support development from Category Management, Revenue Growth Management, Brand, Supply Chain and Omnichannel
- Create and execute our Joint Business Plans withWalmart, driving multi-year, mutual growth
- Develop & manage promotional plans and trade spend strategies of that desk (trade spend analysis, price pack plan modeling, and adjustments)
- Develop and manage effective day to day communication plans with key stakeholders, including Walmart merchandising, supply chain, Omnichannel and operations contacts, including also KDP and Walmart Direct Import Teams.
- Represent the team in internal and external quarterly, semi-annual, and annual planning meetings, utilizing the network of business professionals supporting this desk (e.g. semi-annual planning meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) and Joint Business Planning (JBP’s), and annual planning meetings)
- Collaborate across boundaries and functions to innovate processes, provide unique business solutions, and enhance and maintain high functioning relationships with internal partners and at Walmart
Requirements
- BS/BA or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive customer management and sales leadership experience
- Minimum 2 year of cross-functional experience outside of Sales (e.g., Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Shopper Marketing, E-Commerce)
- Walmart selling experience a plus
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Outlook
