Vice President of Supply Chain Performance Engineering 

Position Description/ Overview:

  • Leads USRB Supply Chain’s Performance Engineering efforts.
  • Leads the Performance Engine Process to develop, deploy, and communicate strategies and tactics associated with driving measurable process improvements while improving productivity, quality and operational efficiency.
  • Leads a group of subject matter experts to include Technical Excellence, Materials Management, Productivity, Network Optimization, Long Range Planning, Innovation Engineering and Capital Planning and Execution.
  • Serve as an operational and management source of expertise and contribute to the success of the team/senior management team as a whole - by supporting associated and team-wide initiatives. Programs are expected to be of high complexity/risk/impact and ambiguity. Set KPI’s, targets and review processes to manage and drive performance improvements including in operating equipment efficiency (OEE) and Asset Effectiveness

  • End-to-end responsibilities for the USRB  Supply Chain Performance Engineering function

    • Shapes our Now and Next Beverage Portfolio by providing technical solutions and a robust Technology Roadmap for each critical value stream. Provides leadership in the area of Short, Mid and Long-Range Planning
    • Amplifies our Route to Market Advantage by providing strategic leadership for the design and optimization of the future manufacturing network in service of the USRB requirements.
    • Champions consumer obsessed brand building by collaborating closely with other departments including (but not limited to), Continuous Improvement, Planning, Commercial, Procurement, Logistics, DSD, Commercial, and IT to lead the thinking in the organization on network capabilities (e.g.. New equipment strategies) and utilization.
    • Creates Fuel for Growth by driving the overall USRB productivity program to ensure the health of both plant level and network level productivity meets or exceeds targets.
    • Leads the collaboration of the above functions through the Performance Engine and Obeya Room processes to unlock our aspirational targets (locker combination). Owns the coordinated delivery of results with the VPs of Operations.
    • Act as the USRB Supply Chain’ Supplier liaison to advise and align with other KDP teams to communicate to suppliers on our requirements for new equipment aligned to the USRB Strategic plan
    • Design and implement a robust engineering process, inclusive of cross-functional collaboration and decision points (e.g., road mapping) as a foundation to Dynamically Allocate Capital most effectively.
    • Plans for asset aging and retirement and makes recommendations to maintain service and performance of KDP’s manufacturing equipment

  • Innovation

    • Explores and assesses new to market manufacturing capabilities, including “moonshot” or “bootstrapped” projects that have a low chance of success to identify critical technologies for the future of the USRB business.
    • Digital / Automation
    • Oversees the planning, road mapping, capital planning, integration and execution of new technologies

  • Data / Analytics:

    • Leverage tools such as MicroStrategy, Line View, Tableau, MES, MDS in the future to deliver a tech-forward operating environment for the manufacturing function
    • Ability to lead a high-performance team with energy, positivity, and urgency
    • Demonstrates end to end, product lifecycle thinking
    • Intellectual horsepower: utilizing data to pull together all project requirements and balance them with protecting the company
    • Creative analytical problem solver that is comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, is discerning and decisive, and can identify where and how to spend time and energy; evaluates issues timely
    • Exceptional analytical skills with a clear track record of delivering results
    • Strong interpersonal capabilities working with diverse functions to align and coordinate efforts outside of traditional functional boundaries to support leadership; balanced with courage to do what is in Keurig Dr Pepper’s best interest

Requirements:

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, Distribution, or Logistics; Advanced Degree is highly desirable; MBA, MS Engineering strongly preferred

Preferred Professional Background/ Work Experience:

  • 15 years of experience
  • Proven track record in leading diverse supply chain operations and engineering teams. Food and Beverage experience preferred, Coffee experience a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Experience driving technological improvements and solutions to build world-class planning, manufacturing and logistics
  • Experience leading strategic, project management teams that involve complex systems.
