Senior Procurement Analyst – External Manufacturing

The Senior Procurement Analyst – External Manufacturing supports the development, execution, and governance of procurement strategies for external manufacturing partners, including co manufacturers and repackers. The role provides analytical horsepower, financial insight, and decision support across sourcing, supplier performance, productivity, and risk management.


This position sits within Procurement and operates at the intersection of data, finance, and external manufacturing strategy, partnering closely with Sourcing Managers, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, Quality, and Commercial teams. The role is designed for a high potential individual who can translate complex data into clear insights that enable better sourcing decisions and stronger supplier performance.

Shift and Schedule: This is a full time position working Day Shift:Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities:


Procurement Analytics & Decision Support

  • Develop and maintain analytical models to support sourcing strategies, make vs buy evaluations, and capacity decisions.
  • Build scenarios comparing cost, service, risk, and productivity tradeoffs across external manufacturing options.
  • Provide rapid, decision ready analysis to support live sourcing events, negotiations, and urgent business needs.
  • Prepare fact based recommendations and executive ready materials to support sourcing and leadership decisions.


Financial & Productivity Analysis

  • Support conversion cost modeling, total cost of ownership analyses, and margin impact assessments.
  • Track productivity initiatives, savings delivery, and financial benefits in partnership with Finance and Sourcing Managers.
  • Support AOP, forecast, and variance analysis related to external manufacturing spend and performance.


Supplier Performance & Data Governance

  • Design, maintain, and automate supplier performance dashboards covering service, cost, quality, and risk metrics.
  • Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) through data preparation, insights generation, and action tracking.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and transparency across procurement and supply chain systems.


Contract & Risk Analytics Support

  • Support contract lifecycle management through data analysis, benchmarking, and compliance tracking.
  • Assist in supplier due diligence by analyzing financial health, capacity, operational resilience, and risk indicators.
  • Partner with Procurement, Legal, and Supply Chain to strengthen risk visibility and governance discipline.


Cross Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as a thought partner to Sourcing Managers by proactively identifying insights, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams to align assumptions and data inputs.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate procurement analytics and reporting.

Total Rewards:
  • $76,400 - $100,000

Where Applicable: Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, finance, operations, or analytics roles (CPG/manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to distill insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting or working with manufacturing, external suppliers, or complex networks strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP, Power BI, or similar analytics tools preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into business implications.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, matrixed organization.
