Sr. Director, DSD Digital Excellence - Frisco, TX
Position Summary: Reporting to the VP Analytics & Operations for US Refreshment Beverages, the Senior Director of DSD Digital Excellence will have the exciting role of leading our largest technological CRM transformation initiative, dedicated to our 8000+ frontline DSD teammates. Simply stated, the primary objective of the initiative is to digitally advantage our DSD frontline to sell smarter, service better, more seamlessly. Another parallel standalone objective is to contemporize an eB2B solution to further enhance our growth potential. The ideal candidate will be a mix of leader, strategist, planner, analyst, technologist, and change agent. This is an incredibly exciting, fast-paced, high visibility and high impact role for the right leader. Travel expectations of this role are about 50% of the time and would be a mix of time spent at the Headquaters in Frisco, visiting field locations and home office.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Program Leadership
- Draw a Blueprint. Then, leverage your strategic thinking and influencing skills to drive clear goal alignment with senior management, and then focus the team (including internal cross functional team and 3rd party partners) to deliver against key milestones with excellence.
- Prepare & drive key governance routines such as Steering Committees, Governance and Status Calls to ensure clarity on progress to goals.
Team Leadership
- Quickly build your team & winning culture. Leverage your experience and internal/external network to draft the right players.
- Onboard swiftly and ensure swim lane clarity to ensure workstreams run in parallel to maximize efforts; at the same time, ensure connectivity across your team to ensure awareness, clear dependencies, and avoid re-work.
- Celebrate successes and continue to iteratively learn & tune team operating model for impact.
Tool Development
- Partner with Tech teams to ensure the tech solution meets transformation initiative objectives – in short, enabling our frontline to sell smarter, service better, more seamlessly.
- Don’t just listen to the tech SME or the frontline SME, instead make smart GM decisions, ensuring efforts are worth invested resourcing & time.
- Ensure tech design is agile - test, learn, pivot & iterate to ensure value is created both financially for the Company, but also practically for the Field. Keep UI/UX Simplicity Front & Center to ensure adoption & impact.
Analytics & Value Measurement
- Align and prove value creation by smartly & simply testing/tracking key causal KPIs and financial metrics longitudinally across program delivery streams (think test vs. control).
- To ensure value is created, leverage analytics to guide where changes may be needed - e.g. hot spots across the country, features being used as intended, etc. and refine further leveraging qualitative feedback from super-users in the field.
Change Management at Scale
- The goal is to install belief and a positive growth mindset across all 8000+ frontline DSD team members. Strategize the how, but more importantly evolve the change management plan as it is tested in field with change champions and power users.
- Maniacally focus on ensuring that new technology is meeting the needs of helping the frontline – sell smarter, service better, more seamlessly. Your best change lesson may come from the most overt nay-sayers – involve them early and ensure to intake feedback.
Deep Dive Wherever Needed
- Across an initiative of this scale and size, there will be a host of possible scenarios that may come up that are impossible to capture fully in a job description. Get ready to roll-up your sleeves and commit to going All-In to help remove roadblocks and derisk the program, ensuring value creation on-time & in-full.
Total Rewards:
- Salary Range: $183,500 - $261,500 / year
- Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
- Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
- Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Must be willing to travel about 50% of the time
- Bachelor's Degree in realted field
- Program Management & Hard Skills
- Large Scale Program Management Experience – Visible Portfolio/Track Record of Success including Proven ROIC with return profiles delivering at minimum +$50 Million Net Sales.
- The ability to think strategically, prioritize swiftly, and tactically engage to effectively problem-solve across a wide range of parallel workstreams.
- Expert Excel (i.e. engineering & finance like) and PowerPoint skills (i.e. consulting like)
- Leadership & Team Management:
- 10+ years of experience, including building & guiding a team from the ground up, successfully governing 3P consulting resources, and fluidly navigating highly matrixed organizational models
- Agility, Accountability, Urgency - willingness to do whatever it takes to drive program success
- Incredibly high EQ and influencing skills across all levels of an organization from senior management (C-Level) to the frontline
- DSD & Technical Experience:
- Direct DSD Experience – especially rolling out tech solutions to various frontline functions: account managers, merchandisers, delivery drivers, etc
- Familiarity with Agile Tech Development and CRM/Frontline platform implementation on a Mobile Device
Ideal Qualifications:
- Certification or Education in Project Management and Change Management
- Salesforce CG Cloud & Commerce Cloud Experience
