Senior Accountant, Capital Management Control

Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a seasoned Senior Accounting professional to join its Capital Management Control team. This pivotal position centers on supporting enterprise-wide capital project reviews, asset management workflows, and validating capital approval through collaboration with various finance and operations groups. The role requires ensuring compliance with KDP’s Fixed Asset Capitalization Policy and offers significant opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely review, management, and enablement of capital projects.
  • Examine capital projects for alignment with company policy and governance standards.
  • Provide accounting guidance on fixed asset policy and the distinction between capital and expense items, under managerial supervision.
  • Support the Fixed Assets team, field personnel, and new users in understanding relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the fixed asset capitalization policy by gathering feedback and reviewing items for inclusion in future policy updates.
  • Participate in quarterly assessments of idle assets, impairments, and asset obsolescence.
  • Lead or assist in 5-6 physical asset audits annually at manufacturing facilities, coordinating across multiple teams and traveling as needed to physically verify selected assets at plants and warehouses.
  • Oversee the fixed asset tagging process to ensure accurate subledger reporting.
  • Prepare reports on asset disposals and impairments with managerial oversight.
  • Coordinate periodic reviews of Apple Boxes, Fleet, and other specific asset groups.
  • Maintain internal controls related to assigned areas and support audit requests as needed.
  • Engage in key projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of overall accounting experience, with substantial knowledge in fixed asset accounting and capital management; bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Proficiency with SAP or other global ERP systems, Excel, and reporting tools.
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, able to work independently.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to enforce and uphold Keurig Dr Pepper’s policies, procedures, values, and operating principles among business partners.
