Job Overview:

The Director of Sales – Albertsons will lead Keurig Dr Pepper’s Coffee Systems business across the Grocery channel, with full accountability for the Albertsons customer. This role owns the end-to-end customer strategy, including Joint Business Planning (JBP), net sales, margin delivery, and share growth across the KDP Coffee portfolio.

This leader will drive distribution, pricing, and promotional strategy while ensuring best-in-class execution across both in-store and omni channels. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional leadership across Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Category, Supply Chain, Finance, and Omni/Media to deliver aligned, profitable growth.

Location: Boise, ID or Cincinnati, OH (Open to remote for highly qualified candidates)

Travel: up to 35%

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Commercial Leadership

  • Own the Albertsons business P&L, delivering against volume, net revenue, profit, and share targets while directly managing the National (Boise) call point
  • Develop and lead the Joint Business Plan (JBP), aligning KDP and customer priorities to unlock sustainable growth
  • Build and maintain senior-level customer relationships to influence strategy, assortment, pricing, and promotion decisions
  • Lead all commercial negotiations, including pricing, trade investment, assortment, and contractual agreements

Strategy & Execution

  • Define and execute the long-term Coffee Systems strategy for Albertsons, aligned to KDP and channel priorities
  • Translate strategy into clear execution plans across distribution, merchandising, and promotional programming
  • Partner with RGM to optimize price-pack architecture, trade spend, and ROI
  • Leverage syndicated data and insights to identify growth opportunities and shape customer-facing solutions

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead a high-performing, cross-functional team (Sales, Category, RGM, Finance, Supply Chain, Omni) to deliver the business plan
  • Ensure alignment between forecast (Demantra/EL), trade execution, and financial delivery
  • Identify risks and opportunities early, driving proactive solutions to deliver plan commitments
  • Improve processes across trade management, forecasting, and customer execution

Total Rewards:
  • Salary range $155,500 - $220,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off, 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility
  • Long-term incentive equity based on eligibility

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive CPG sales experience, including senior-level customer leadership
  • Proven success leading a customer P&L and delivering against revenue, profit, and share targets
  • Deep experience in Joint Business Planning (JBP) and strategic customer partnerships
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in trade investment, pricing, and margin management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority
  • Advanced negotiation and strategic selling skills
  • Experience using syndicated data (e.g., Circana/Nielsen) to drive decisions
  • Proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams
