Job Overview:

Come join a creative team of scientists and engineers on the forefront of beverage innovation! This team is dedicated to growing the category by pushing the boundaries of beverage development and delivery to satisfy every consumer need. Years ago, the coffee industry was revolutionized with the launch of the Keurig brewing system, allowing consumers to brew one cup of coffee on demand. Now with the power of JDE Peets, join a global coffee powerhouse!

At Keurig, the Coffee Processing team owns engineering and process work from the moment green coffee enters a site to post processing: green cleaning, blending, roasting, degas, grinding, and flavoring. Our team owns risk and scale-up recommendations on programs that span from innovation support to quality improvements to value delivery, as well as owning the value delivery pipeline for coffee. We are a team of scientists and engineers dedicated to robust learning plans, technical assessments, and rigorous data analysis, with a strong understanding of consumer and business impacts.

This individual will own and coordinate cross-functional, holistic learning plans across formulation, sensory, packaging, quality, capital management, and manufacturing, and will be directly responsible for processing assessment at multiple scales (modeling, benchtop, pilot, and scale-up) as well as some test method development. Strong critical thinking and statistical analysis are required, as well as business case development. Excellent program management skills are critical to the success of this role. Fundamental research skills (literature search, basic experimentation) and a working knowledge of applicable physics (thermodynamics, etc) is required; learning through manufacturing-scale trials and partnership with operational teams is also needed.

In addition, this role will support reformulation work, including executing lab roasting and sample creation, carrying out experiments and data collection, creating documentation and specification updates, and hosting internal tastings for reformulations.

It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment. An employer who violates this law shall be subject to criminal penalties and civil liability.
