Quality Technician II

The Quality Technician II is responsible for performing standardized qualitative and quantitative tests on work-in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with company and/or customer quality standards.

Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position working from 6:00pm - 6:00am, on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required.

Position Responsibilities

Conduct organoleptic, analytical, and microbiological tests at various stages of receiving, compounding, and packaging to ensure compliance with standards.
Approve batches for packaging and perform additional analysis as needed for non-conforming products.
Calculate batch adjustments as needed for certain products.
Maintain test results and supporting documentation in SAP.
Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
File and maintain retained samples.
Inspect and audit a GMP production environment to assure compliance to quality procedures / protocols.
Will learn HAACP standards and SAP if no prior experience

Total Rewards

Pay starting at $26.16 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential. The employee will move to a higher rate of $27.58 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

Requirements

Associate degree or higher in a Chemistry or Food Science field preferred. This may be substituted with 2+ years of experience in a chemistry laboratory setting
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
HPLC experience is highly preferred
Drive to learn and solve problems
Teamwork oriented
Capable to work independently, prioritize, and manage time
