Job Overview:

Location: 931 South Highland Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719


Shift: Full-time, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday (overtime/weekend flexibility required)

As a Maintenance Planner, you are responsible for independently prioritizing and planning maintenance work which optimizes technician effectiveness. You will lead the analysis of maintenance history (including root cause analysis) and utilize multiple technical data sources to improve maintenance processes and minimize the total cost of ownership. You are also responsible for planning proactive maintenance for technicians through the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and working with maintenance leaders to develop and oversee processes to ensure operational effectiveness and compliance. You will play a key role in championing plant maintenance initiatives. You will also support the sites TPM efforts for operational excellence. 

What you will do:
  • Prioritizes, plans, and supports maintenance work in collaboration with affected departments; Identify job resources (staff, tools, parts, references, etc.), assemble job plans (instructions, schematics, parts lists, manuals, etc.), coordinate with stakeholders (Production Planning, Engineering, Maintenance team, etc.), and support execution.
  • Maintain and organize TPM documents, SOPs, and records.

  • Assist in developing TPM forms and procedures. 

  • Assists with analysis of maintenance history (including root cause analysis).
  • Participate and advise in continuous process improvement in maintenance operations.
  • Assist with CMMS, inventory control, and purchasing needs as requested or needed.
  • Participate with maintenance personnel, engineers, production personnel, and network representatives to document and improve maintenance tasks and processes.
  • Analyze and report on network and area maintenance performance; Generate maintenance KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), and track the department’s performance against them.
  • Manages maintenance technical documentation for plant equipment and systems..
  • Supports the daily management system.
  • Responsible for helping develop PMs, spare parts lists, kitting, and rebuilding strategies.
  • Comfortably, effectively coaches and trains technically skilled professionals.
  • Schedules contractors, obtains bids and communicates the status of contractor repairs.
  • Owns: Work order tracker, temporary repair policy, PM program.
  • Ensures 100% of CCP PMs are completed on time.
  • Continuous improvement on PMs – adding tasks based on recurring or unexpected issues
  • Conduct weekly physical PM audits and advise leadership of issues – employ shift leads/line mechanics to assist.
  • Partners with the maintenance team to develop a maintenance plan for all downtime events.  Priorities are based on avoiding and eliminating unplanned downtime. 
  • Weekly report out of work completed during all downtime events, total open work orders, and open work orders for each line.
  • Works on the floor:  Monday start-ups, maintenance days, to complete PMs in question, or otherwise as needed.
  • Daily walk - Speak face to face daily with line mechanics on PM needs, WOs needed, parts, trends, etc. to facilitate planning.
  • Help build daily plans for maintenance team members.
  • Ownes the Maintenance Day Program: plans, updates VBP board, plans/schedules/leads pre-md day meetings, and reports out.
  • Maintains the temporary repair log and follows up on final repairs.
  • Maintain WO information boards in the shop.
  • Maintains manual cabinets in the shop and on MS Teams.
  • Assist with changeovers when applicable.
  • Maintain records/follow-ups on service agreements, etc.

Total Rewards:
  • $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

Requirements:
Ideal Qualifications:  
  • 2 years maintenance planning experience preferred.
  • Experienced CMMS user, SAP preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Proficient spreadsheet, PowerPoint, email, and database user.
  • Ability to communicate technical information accurately and clearly.
  • Ability to uphold Safety standards, participate in Continuous Process Improvement on the job, and follow our Manufacturing best practices.
  • Consistent demonstration of teamwork across all departments, flexibility, desire, and capacity to learn, and reliable work ethic.
  • Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.
  • Proficient in developing maintenance documentation and standards.
  • Education: Degree preferred but not required.
