Position Summary
The Trade Planning and Analytics Manager plays a critical role in driving trade promotion planning, sales analytics, and system governance across the Commercial team. This role owns the XTEL Trade Promotion Management (TPM) platform and ensures it meets the evolving needs of Sales, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), and Finance.
You will lead the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of XTEL, support cross-functional stakeholders through training and insights, and drive process optimization. The role also includes managing an Associate Product Manager.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & System Ownership
- Manage the XTEL product roadmap, aligning system functionality with business priorities.
- Lead enhancement initiatives to improve system adoption, efficiency, and data quality.
- Serve as the business owner of XTEL, championing it as the source of truth for trade promotion data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary point of contact between Sales, Finance, RGM, IT, and external partners (e.g., Kantar, AMS).
- Lead stakeholder communications and deliver training on XTEL usage and best practices.
- Partner with Master Data teams to maintain clean, accurate product and customer data.
System Oversight
- Oversee key backend configurations and ensure financial logic aligns with business needs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integrations between XTEL, SAP, and Demantra.
- Manage technical issues, change requests, and ongoing system improvements in collaboration with IT and support teams.
Sales Planning & Analytics Support
- Support Key Account Managers during annual planning cycles in XTEL.
- Deliver analytical support to Sales and RGM to improve promotional ROI.
- Contribute to trade promotion optimization by analyzing POS data and supporting UAT cycles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field (BBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in sales planning, commercial finance, or RGM in the CPG industry.
- Experience with trade promotion systems (XTEL, Demantra, SAP TPM) is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ERP and TPM system environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
