Job Overview:

Thirsty for your next challenge? Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is looking for a proven, analytically minded leader to join its Target Category Management team as a Senior Manager and lead our Category Captain partnership with Target. As Category Captain, KDP is Target’s trusted, objective advisor for the total beverage category — and this role steers that partnership. You’ll own a large, complex business, set the long-term category vision that aligns KDP and Target goals. You’ll turn high-quality analysis into shelf-winning, shopper-first strategy and elevate engagement with senior Target merchant leadership. Deep knowledge of Target’s operating environment plus standout communication and influence skills are a must. This position is located at our downtown Minneapolis, MN office. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days from home each week.

What you will do:

· Build senior-level relationships with Target merchant and leadership contacts, cementing KDP as their indispensable Category Captain and strategic partner

· Own the long-term category strategy, setting the vision and priorities that align KDP and Target growth goals

· Lead delivery of integrated consumer, shopper, category and marketplace insights that guide Target's strategic and tactical choices for short- and long-term growth

· Direct robust analysis — research, category tools, and data visualization — to surface and communicate business opportunities and challenges

· Lead cross-functional and Target merchant collaboration to deliver growth, build strategic and tactical solutions, and ensure POG accuracy and compliance

· Own inline planogram transitions and revisions with the Target merchant team

· Deliver category reporting, trend analysis, and special projects directly to the Target merchant team


Total Rewards:
  • Salary range $130,700 - $179,800
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:

· Bachelor's Degree + Category Management experience

· 7+ years CPG category management experience, including a track record of leading large, complex retail accounts

· Experience with space moves at Target preferred

· Exceptional communication skills - verbal, written, presentation and follow-through

· Strong data analytics and presentation building & delivery skills

· Skill at turning facts and insights into compelling stories with actionable recommendations

· Proven results delivery and a knack for building collaborative, influential partnerships with customers and internal teams

· Experience with Syndicated data systems (IRI - Circana), consumer panel and purchase data (Numerator), retailer-specific POS (Vendor IQ) and guest data (DOMO - Buyer Dashboard)

· Advanced proficiency in JDA Space Planning software building Planograms
