Shift & Schedule: D1 schedule available:

  • Days 1  Shift | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:00AM - 5:15PM

Overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and efficient coordination of shipping, receiving, returns, inventory control, cycle counting, carrier relations, order management, product movement, and customer service. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring materials and finished goods are properly received, stored, transferred, and shipped.

The ideal candidate has strong SAP experience, particularly with inventory transactions, inventory control, and warehouse management processes. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to audit inventory records and investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate and timely movement of finished goods and raw materials.

  • Perform and maintain accurate inventory transactions in SAP, including receipts, shipments, transfers, adjustments, and other material movements.

  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to verify physical inventory against system records.

  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and work with operations and warehouse teams to correct issues.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all transactions are completed promptly and accurately.

  • Use SAP and other warehouse/logistics systems to research inventory, shipment, receiving, and material movement information.

  • Check in and check out truck drivers in a timely manner using Carrier Point, the logistics software used by Ryder.

  • Assign drivers to appropriate doors for loading and unloading.

  • Assign material handlers to load and unload trucks.

  • Complete bills of lading and obtain required signatures.

  • Process receiving documentation and verify quantities, materials, and supporting documentation.

  • Coordinate returns and ensure returned materials are accurately documented and processed in the appropriate systems.

  • Support carrier relations and resolve shipping or receiving issues as needed.

  • Review inventory and shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance.

  • Accurately handle transactions and documentation that may serve as legal or financial records.

  • Maintain organized office and shipping/receiving areas, including filing and housekeeping duties as required.

  • Provide responsive customer service to internal and external customers regarding shipments, inventory, orders, and material availability.

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving processes, and overall warehouse efficiency.

  • Execute new approaches and procedures to drive continual improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.

  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable OSHA standards.


Total Rewards:
  • Starting pay:$0000 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $0000 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • 1+ year of shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse, or inventory control experience.

  • Experience performing cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation strongly preferred.

  • 1+ year of experience using SAP or another automated warehouse/inventory management system; strong SAP experience preferred.

  • Experience processing inventory transactions and researching inventory discrepancies in an ERP or warehouse management system.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with inventory, documentation, and system transactions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse personnel, operations, and internal customers.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Preferred Experience

  • SAP inventory or warehouse management experience.

  • Cycle counting and inventory auditing.

  • Inventory reconciliation and discrepancy investigation.

  • Shipping and receiving documentation.

  • Warehouse management systems or ERP systems.

  • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or food and beverage environment.
