The Total Productive Maintenance Planner is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and monitoring activities and requirements related to overall equipment reliability for our Houston facility. In addition to these responsibilities, this role will also support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives, contributing to a culture of safety and compliance across the site. Candidates should possess excellent organizational skills and be able to multi-task and work independently. Candidates should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, Microsoft Word & Excel skills, and effectively prioritize and manage time well to meet all specified deadlines. Expect to implement rapid change; be a hands-on team builder.
Shift and Schedule:
This is a full-time permanent position working on the 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends according to the needs of the business.
Major Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
- Coordinate and maintain Total Productive Maintenance related documents within the prescribed and approved TPM process. Maintain files, logs, records, shared drive entries, and hard copy manuals, to assure all documents are current, properly identified, and maintained.
- Write, revise, and develop TPM related forms and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Identify opportunities to maximize production effectiveness and organize teams to accomplish goals.
- Interact with co-workers, supervisors, managers, OEM representatives, and other cross-functional department personnel in a way that fosters a positive working atmosphere and encompasses a professional and helpful attitude.
- Cultural liaison to shop floor team members for TPM methodology and a Continuous Improvement mindset
- Perform process audits of all officially issued documentation at point of use for completeness and effectiveness.
- Participate in and facilitate Kaizen activities, as determined and delegated by Management team.
- Proven ability to work independently and successfully facilitate cross functional teams, while implementing improvement within an established time frame
- Ensures compliance with all safety regulations as specified in company procedures.
- Maintain a strong commitment to quality at all times
Total Rewards:
- Starting rate is $35.43/hr - flexible based on candidate's knowledge, skills and experience.

Requirements:
Years of Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, operations, or reliability-focused role.
- 2+ years in a role involving facilitation, training, or coaching teams on process improvement or operational excellence.
Core Competencies
- Highly organized, energetic, and results driven.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Comfortable facilitating workshops, coaching teams, and presenting to diverse audiences.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in technical writing or document control systems.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Education:
- Degree preferred but not required
Compatible Experience Areas
- Maintenance & Reliability Engineering – Especially those involved in preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Roles – Experience leading Kaizen events or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Leadership in production environment – With exposure to equipment uptime, efficiency metrics, and cross-functional team leadership.
- Quality Assurance/Control – Particularly those who’ve worked with SOPs, audits, and root cause analysis.
- Training & Development in Technical Environments – Especially those who’ve built or delivered technical training content
